there were no more cars left on the reserve list AFAIK. So the ACO let AMR have its moments of despair.

Two cars were left on the reserve list all the way up to scrutineering, both in GTE-Pro and both with at least two confirmed drivers. And at least one of them was available on short notice, the second Robertson Ford was in the OAK Racing workshops at the track since the test weekend.

Also, I have to say what an excellent job by Lotus and Jetalliance. If they can get the engine sorted out (chassis looks incredible) that program seems to have a lot of potential.

I stand corrected, when was the shift made to put Murray in the GT-AM Ford? (At the test day his name was on the GTE car). I did not see the Young Driver Aston at Spa, so i had assumed it was no longer in contention.

As for the Young Driver Aston, it was at the LM test day to cover all eventualities, and it raced at Ricard. |

And if the Robertson Racing Pro car had made it in you probably would have seen Boris Said, Anthony Lazzaro and Colin Braun in the pro car, unless they switched Said and Murry between the Pro and Am car.

Weren't 3 out of 4 Oak entries and 2 out of 3 Felbermayr entries in on guaranteed entries based on last year's results? If the teams won those on merit- and can actually field cars to fulfil them, it's hard to argue with...

So at least half those entries were won on merit, and they were able to field the cars. OAK's LMP1 cars had a bit of a disaster in the end, but they pretty much kept them going at least until nightfall (despite steering and gearbox issues for the 15 car in particular). |

Forgot about OAK, but my point about Felbermayr was exactly that. Also, everything Jacques Nicholet did for Henri Pescarolo plus fielding an all pro LMP1 car and one of the best LMP2 line ups in the field, in addition to their earned spots, they also deserved it.

Speaking of which, I think a lot of credit should go to Norma. The M200P looks like a pretty decent car. A more experienced team and some pro drivers perhaps could get that thing fairly close to the front of the LMP2 field. Not too shabby considering it may be the only "true" cost capped LMP2. Plus, IMO, it is a great looking car.

So, just to clear up a few things, did Michael Wainwright and Horst Felbermayr suffer from pelvic fractures?

Did last Thursday's press conference reveal the date for next year's date? It always used to be something of a secret until the end of the year and the publication of the F1 calendar, but last year I seem to remember it was made known at the race week press conference.
Does anyone out there know? |

Well there's something to shout about. Hopefully they'll come back with a sports car in due course. |

Nope, DTM is a really good marketing tool for companies wanting to explore markets in Germany, Germany, Germany, Austria, Germany, Bromley (Paffetts home town), Austria and Germany. Im sure they will have fun parading around circuits for an hour. |

My comment would have been completely unrepeatable....... But, fortunately for me, the Tesco and Sainsbury's ballast was clearly their undoing.......
