Sweet Corn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Do you spell FirePower (WestPoint)After reading the SMH series of articles on FIREPOWER one considers where is the substance .
I sincerely hope that Tasman have a great sponsor and the sooner FIREPOWER lays to rest the innuendo created by the SMH the better it will be for all the sporting teams counting on the FIREPOWER $$$$$$

Jason Bright you are a great Austrlaian sportsman, from the Victorian Latrobe Valley town of Moe to owning and running your own team is a giant step, and when you attract major multi national sponsors like Caterpillar it shows the esteem that is duly yours .

We salute you, Jason have a great Year and may your garden only grow the sweetest corn of all (Podium positions)

Still Fujitsu Racing with Cat logos on the front (bonnet?), middle bar and rear wing.

I know this is not necessarily V8 news, but I was told today that Ellery will drive in Carrera Cup this year. Not sure who with but I think this will be great for him.

Does this mean that Steve Ellery will not be available for the Enduro's ?
I hope not as he is a very good V8 driver indeed, and we need that type of talent in the main race of the year.

Steve will do a great Job in any car he chooses to drive if he ends up in a Porsche I say watch out Bairdo and Reynolds here comes some extra competition.

He could still do the enduros, Coulthard and many others have in fact it would be good to see him with the young Kiwi at Sandown and Bathurst could be a good combo.

Um, hopefully he won't read your note. He would take umbrage as being from Moe. His parents lived in Newborough, which is a small town next to Moe. They currently reside in Trafalgar East, or as we tend to say, Moe West....

I beleive he will drive for Morris in Sandown and Bathurst and also compete in the Carrera Cup.

I am also looking forward to watching him drive against Bairdo and Reynolds and also Jim if he still drives this year. Adds a bit of spice to the front of the Cup field. This is a loss for Supercars though and a gain for Cup, although we will still see him at Enduro time.

see we call Newborough a suburb of moe. Newborough is where jaidyn leske was

interesting fact. type the postcode of moe (and newborough) into your phone using predictive text, scroll through the options. the postcode is 3825

My Phone Gives me: Eval, Duck, Dual, Dubl, Etcj, Etck, Etcl, Etc5.

AND, a word similar to Duck, but with a different first letter. (interestingly, i had 2 solve this one myself - predictive text on my phone didnt give me that one...)

she was from Moe. its a given.

Back on topic now. seeing how one eighth of the field is owned by valley boys and a quarter is owned by country victorians (poetic licence on albury) i wonder if any other country victorians will be getting a gurnsey this year in the main game, one spot (or two if you count PCR) up for grabs

No.

Carrera Cup is present rumour and no doubt he'll line up an enduro drive for the next few years but his full time V8Supercar career is as dead as Glenn Seton's, Cam McLean's, Greg Ritter's, Warren Luff's, Owen Kelly's, Mark Noske's...

Harsh? Well team owners have never really been known for being forgiving have they?

Interesting whispers from the powder room today, courtside in sunny Brisbane... no not the tennis court.. but the Supreme Court...

The powder room was perplexed today, as it seems that a former L1 franchise licence slot holder may be returning to the main game sooner than expected.

It was suggested from the powderettes that a longstanding court action has finally been heard up that way today, and that all is not travelling particularly well for one side of the argument. Still early days, but the direction and tone is allegedly set....

It seems this alleged former franchise licence slot owner may return at the expense of a theoretical team that was a giantkiller in the main series last year.

A powder room junkie suggested that the possible outcome just goes to show that allegedly in order to play the game with the big boys, you really have to allegedly dot the i's and cross the t's in all alleged aspects

Presuming any of this actually happened of course

how intriguing toll HSV are operating under an illegally obtained franchise and as a result have to hand their championship back
