Ugh, the carbon/black roofs look extra terrible in that pic, especially on the red one.

Looks like a Lamborghini in that picture.

Looks SO much better with smaller spoiler! My initial impression of C7 was that the rear is too tall.
The roofs on that photo aren't painted the way they were in Detroit (painted on the side). Different customisation package? Pre-production cars not quite to spec? |

The C7 really needs to full width spoiler, looks like a bad 90s futurecar with the halfspoiler. Course the red-orange color doesn't help it any

Okay, back to Corvette Racing, has anyone kept up-to-date on the chassis numbers? I useta but wandered off into other pursuits. I got this far with the C-6:
C6.R 001, 002 – 2005 003, 004 – 2006 005, 006 – 2007 007, 008 – 2008 C6GT 001, 002 – 2009 001, 002 – 2010 00?, 00? – 2011 00?, 00? – 2012 00?, 00? – 2013 Does anyone have actual chassis number facts, or better yet pix of the chassis plates? E. g. (my last in person shot): Thanks, |

Pretty good reference here. Of the GTE cars, #003 and #004 were used by the factory in 2011, #005 and #006 last year, and #001 and #003 are now owned (or leased) by Larbre. http://www.racingsportscars.com/chas...20RGT-001.html http://www.racingsportscars.com/chas...20RGT-002.html http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/C6GT-003.html http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/C6GT-004.html http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/C6GT-005.html http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/C6GT-006.html I expect #007 and #008 will be getting rolled out in the Sebring paddock this year. |

Speaking of colours. Is there any change P&M could switch from Velocity Yellow to a more suitable livery for the Stingray? Yellow is probably the last colour that would be associated with a Stingray vette.

Eh that looks nice!
From that angle, IMHO, the car does look somewhat reminiscent of a 458 (puts on flamesuit) |

I think the 458 roadcar looks a lot less fussier then the Stingray but when it comes to the racecars I think the 458 GT3 is easier on the eye then the GTE Ferrari especially at the front.
I like the front of the new Vette but the back has yet to grow on me, I'm sure the GT version will look super tough either end just like the C5 and C6 racers. Wonder if a FIA GT3 version is in the works from either factory or Callaway? Can't see why not. |

What's the chance of Corvette Racing going to DPs in the future and maybe dropping GTE for a chance to win overall at Sebring & Daytona? Secondly, what's the chance they will run both a DP and a GTE program so they could go for overall wins at Sebring and Daytona and still compete at Le Mans? Just asking, not predicting.

There is already the Spirit of Daytona Racing Corvette with some/considerable factory support, could be the stepping stone...

The Coyote Corvette DP is pretty much a P&M product right now.

Why would Corvette Racing have a factory DP team to run against their customers, that doesn't make sense to me. Corvette still gets to go for the overall wins with their customer DP's, and P&M I believe were responsible for the DP bodywork, and the coyote chassis as well.
