If they're gonna restart, it'll have to be soon, since there's only about 6 minutes left.
Doubt they'll restart now. If so, Porsche finally breaks through. |

Are you sure? The damage was at the rear and IIRC it was in sector 2. Unless there was a massive chop by #2 I can't see it that way around.
Race over. Not the way anyone wanted it, but Porsche get their first WEC victory, Toyota get a podium to celebrate their double championship and Sir Tom gets to step on the podium of his final professional sportscar race. |

About time Porsche won a race to go along with all the poles that they had this year. TK gets a podium on his last race. Audi gets fastest race lap (bragging rights only for that one), everyone will have improved cars for next year, let's see what happens...

Very happy to see the 919 get a win in its first year. A sign of things to come in 2015.

The #8 really threw that one away. What an awful race from Toyota.

Drag that it had to end with a SC, but very happy everyone walked away from the shunt. That is a very fast area of the track...
Congrats to Porsche. A win is a great cap off to a successful first year. |

J Jay, the Audi swung out, thinking he was clear, on the exit of one of the tight, right-handers, and just caught the nose of the Ferrari with the left-rear corner.
Even if they are doing that full pit reconstruction, they could schedule this race like they have this year. That is, put it after the F1 Grand Prix, as the work will have to be done in time for that race next year. |

919 gets a win! I hope Mark is okay.
And thank you TK! One of the greatest drivers in sports car racing, an amazing career, and a great ambassador. |

Kinda feel like they wanted that 'storybook ending' to the race so they just let it stay under sc. But good racing up until then. Porsche was fast as was Audi. I think the track played into that but at least there was good racing. Good for Porsche to get their one win this season. Congrats to Toyota and Buemi/Davidson. Double championship should make all of Toyota happy.

Well done to Toyota. It's disappointing however not to see Lapierre on that podium. He also deserves to be there.
Any idea as to why Buemi was apparently so upset ? |
