Pain now. Fresh tires later.

Fortunately no more punctures so far. I’m surprised there wasn’t a caution. Would seem prudent.

It shows what has been demonstrated for the last couple of years. IMSA try not to throw cautions.

So it was a bit of an NSX that Tandy hit. Gave him a puncture.

But the remaining bits have now been swept away by the cars so we’re grand.

Ricky has finally given in. That stint will serve the team well later on…

Yes.

I think you stick with it, but stopping a few laps earlier is nice when it does get too bad.

What they are doing is building flexibility for later in the race. You’re in trouble if you don’t have a fresh set for your last stint.

#24 spins. Briefly stationary. No contact. The race continues. Down the 6th, lost 50 odd seconds.

That will be the fastest lap any LMDH does today (with the door open).

Clearly, the Porsches have pace.
