700kg.
200kg ballast will not amount to 3 whole seconds. |

In all my calculations about who we're likely to see on the grid in LMP1 next year I've consistently overlooked Oreca. Anyone have any insight into whether we'll see them doing anything next year (appreciating new chassis will be required)?

Cirtek, via DSC, confirm they will run two GT1 cars next season, at least one Aston, likely to be two.
Wonder if any of those 550s will find a home in the Le Mans Series? |

I think someone will pick up the 550's that they have shown this year that they can still be competive in both the LMES and in the FIA GT championships.

We'll at last have some rumble in the Le Mans Series with the Lister, C5-R's and Panoz.

Hope the 550's do get an extra lease of life in the LMES - what about any of the Saleen runners? GNM?

BTW, looks like Lister will be in for the full 2006 Le Man Series. Hopefully the drivers (the ones from Vallelunga) can bring some good funding and stability to the team. |

think if Mr Bickerton of Creation has let word out that there is potential for a second car, then you can assume it's a 99.9% done deal. Very professional outfit. I'd have a second Creation entry on these lists.
Sebring doesn't assure Le Mans entry, but it helps. LNT not getting an entry was apparently political and nothing to do with the car or team performances. I'd also have Jota on there.. sure they'll be out but remains to be seen what in. As with many of the LMP1 teams I think that the cost of a hybrid build compared to selling this years car and buying a new one probably means that if people can find buyers for this years cars they will do so. Your GT2 class is looking a little thin ??? |

He's only listing "confirmed" entries.
That list excludes probable, or rumored entries. |

According to Planet Le Mans RFH will run the Jim Gainer Dome Hybrid, with increased factory backing.

According Planetlemans.com:

I think it's a good sign RfH has reveiled some of their plans so early. The Gainer Dome hybrid was quick at Le Mans so with the experience of RfH and more factory backing I have high expectations for 2006. |

Call me strange but i loved the noise that mugen v8 engine made last year, it just sounded so 'mechanical' and yes it did appear to be extremely quick, until it was last seen reversing down the pit straight and into the pit lane again.
...another useless post brought to you by alistair ryder. |
