Eric Falce should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Ok so it's a bit late and it's my first try at Youtube etc. Go to Youtube, Brands on Diesel 001. and Brands on Diesel. 001 is the start and Brands on Diesel is the second bit of the first race after I had cooked up the beginning of the video.

by god was it slippery, after a few laps i pretty much gave up i simply had no grip whatsoever and settled to finish in one piece, it certainly wasnt the time to be on what are actually fairly hard slicks with a power band like a 427 hemi V8,

race two wasnt much better until half way through, when i found some grip appearing and i pushed a little, but by then i was so far back it wasnt worth really trying and risking anything, roll on snett, as long as its dry!

Do you find that wallop of power coming in when the Turbo kicks in hard to control in those conditions Graham as I am sure if you did have a nice flexible 427 Hemi V8 under the bonnet you would have had a tad more control.

Yer but they have trouble pulling away from Fiesta's,Fiesta's even leave Beamers standing as can be seen in the video on bottom straight.
Al, it was so slippery out there that when one Mr Birley is circulating in the 58/59s then something is very wrong.
Al,are you at Lydden this weekend!

no, i dont really have any turbo lag mainly because of the biggish engine and smallish turbo, it has boost even down at 2,000rpm at which point its making 250lbft which steadily rises by 5,000rpm its making 440lft, peak power is actually at a lowly 6K, its simply was too way much grunt for teh conditions rather than controllability

No Eric, I was planning to be but ran into a few too many little problems (funny how cars hate to be left idle for 18 months or so) but hope to finish the preparation this weekend and get out for Snett where I may catch up with you there.

What was the diesel, pesky truck racing I can't stand that disipline I find it pointless and a green lobbiests dream.
