Is it just me or do you think the result of Le Mans (whatever it may be) has too much of a bearing on the points standings, just feels like ever since winning Le Mans the #2 has been holding on ever since?

It does have a big impact, but then again it's the longest and biggest race of the season, so why not?

Personally I think the points were deserved, at the end of the day it's a 24hour marathon and even in these days of pretty consistent reliability it's an incredible feat. We as spectators tend to observe from a distance even if you attend the Le Mans live we tend to treat the drivers as metronomic performers in infallible machines whereas in reality they are humans driving highly developed sophisticated pieces of equipment with the added problem of having to overtake numerous slower cars with drivers of extremely varied abilities. Add to that the variation in continual climatic and light conditions and I'm amazed that even the top teams manage to achieve a finish at all let alone a podium spot.

Duval complaining about understeer. Doing very slow laps at the moment.

Probably, but Rast is normally good enough to have made the car intangible and driven it right through the Corvette

Fassler catching Duval pretty steadily.

Front aero problem is eating the front tires on the #8 Audi.
Caused by rubber pickup it seems.

Maybe tire choice hindering the Toyota's? They were way closer in practice to the Porsche. Still pretty hot, so possible that teams were counting on the track to cool more significantly?

1:47 by Duval. You can clearly notice the understeer on the onboard cam.

I don't think you understand how important to the sport Radio Le Mans is. Its so important that Audi were patrons of Radio Le Mans in 2005 when John and Eve took it over to stop it being shut down. There's a reason that WEC, ELMS, IMSA, Creventic, VLN and Blancpain use Radio Le Mans. They have transformed how we watch and absorb sports car racing, both at home at at the circuits.
