Don't know if this has been covered, but found this on crash.net:
http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...=28&nid=119313 All Danish Aston Martin team, interesting. Will they run LMES, or FIA GT? |

I am now wondering if we are in for one of those years when Le Mans is set outside the usual dates. |

I believe 17/18 June is a pretty sure bet. Certainly there are Le Mans residents who have posted their certainty on the Infoscourse forum. Those are certainly the dates I'm working to. |

Couldn't find the 2006 season threads but this one will do since it could easily apply - report in Autosport, about the Ferrari 430 next year - seems Scuderia Ecosse will be running them - two of them. Not sure about British GT, but probably LMES - I'm guessing they'll want to be at Le Mans next year too...

Le Mans has often been held when the World Cup or Euyropean football championships - who can forget the Hindhaugh commentary of England Denmark a few years ago - I think they would avoid a clash with the final - but that is not the case.

Now that Le Mans and PLM are over it's getting clearer for further list speculations
just quoting the rule: The pre-selections in each category are:- 1st and 2nd at 2005 Le Mans in each category 1st and 2nd in 2005 LMES in each category 1st at 2005 Petit Le mans in each category 1st in 2005 ALMS or 2nd in ALMS in each category if winner also won Petit Le Mans Le Mans invitations LMP1: Champion + Pescarolo LMP2: RML + Belmondo GT1: Corvette + Aston-Martin GT2: BAM/Alex Job + ? LMES Championship LMP1: Zytek Factory + Pescarolo or Rollcenter LMP2: 2 out of the following Chamberlain Synergy - Belmondo - RML - Horag GT1: Convers + BMS GT2: Sebah + Autorlando ? PLM invitations LMP1: Champion LMP2: Intesport GT1: Corvette GT2: Petersen ALMS Championship (already secluded) LMP1: Champion + Dyson ? LMP2: Intersport GT1: Corvette GT2: Petersen So if we sum up everything from what is for sure Champion: 3 entries Pescarolo: 1 entriy Zytek: 1 entry Intersport: 2 entries RML: 1 entry Belmondo: 1 entry Corvette: 3 entries Aston-Martin: 1 entry Convers: 1 entry BMS: 1 entry Peterson: 2 or 3 entries Alew Job: 1 entry Sebah: 1 entry |

Saleen will be invited through the roll over system through ALMS, since both GM's are Qualified, the entry is givin to the Saleen of Acemco. same for Dyson, Champion gets two intries, because the car that won PLM, also won the championship, and they won le mans to, so they roll over to Dyson. Peterson will only have one intry, Alex job will have two also, im not sure bout LMES, i live in the states, so i cant fallow it as closely

What's the likelyhood that Saleen will accept an invitation after the recent years problems?
PS: Hello all - It's good to be back!! |

Don´t think ACEMCO Saleen invitation is fixed yet. Rememeber this years problems, I´m doubtful if the ACO will invite them again. If they give Corvette two entries, one could be for theier PLM win and the other for ALMS GT1 Championship win, they could give the LM GT winning entry to 3 rd place Aston Martin.

Think I agree with you Dauer (sadly - as i'd love to see the Saleens back at Le Sarthe - I think they are beautiful race cars).

I would also like to see them back at LM, but there are no teams at the moment which IMO are forced to go and on the other hand it´s a big question if the ACO will invite any Saleen Team. Konrad had some troubles with the ACO in the past years and maybe also different plans in `06 and GNM could not be so attractive to the ACO than maybe other teams.

What a great way to end the season.
I can't wait for the 2006 season to come along. And I hope that someone picks up a Zytec for the ALMS season next year. Anybody want to start some rumors? |

Had a quick look, but could not see the dates on the ACO site, but as site's go its pretty hopeless I find, where did you see it?
Just tickets have confirmed prices for next year and have requested payment before 31th oct. I guess after that there could be some camping passes etc available that where not taken up. All I need now is a crow bar to prize the money from the peoples hands that owe! |
