I think in clear traffic, most of the lmp1s can run 3:20 flats or 3:19s even. ByKolles and Ginetta will most likely bring up the rear imo. I think Rebellion can make ways into Toyota by pushing them. We saw during practice and qualifying that they can be pinged for fuel consumption.

They're really going to have to watch that, if they're not going to just hand it to Toyota. I expect the Toyotas to run conservatively in the race, they don't need to do anything else. The Rebs can't afford any silly errors (by drivers or the team) if they are to hope for a good result.

And we believe the 'master' of disinformation? Not me.
But I agree with you. If enough cars remain reliable and Toyota slips at all, we're potentially in for a very interesting race. |

With the torque from the hybrid system, I expect the gap to grow in traffic like it did at Spa. The Toyota can nip past cars much quicker than the non-hybrids can. We seen something similar in IMSA when they balanced DPs and LMP2s on lap time. They could generate similar lap times, but come race day and the DPs were miles ahead because they had more torque to deal with the traffic.
Not a complaint, as I love the hybrid torque, but don't be surprised if the gap opens up when they hit traffic. The hybrids have an absolutely brutal ability when dealing with. |

I just read on DSC that the #3 Rebellion toasted its gearbox on the last lap but still managed to finish third.

I wonder how they managed to get around the "two aerodynamic devices per front corner" rule. I can see two dive-planes and a turning vane.
Anyway, considering through the Porsche Curves the lower downforce version managed 280+ km/h, Copse, Maggots-Becketts and Stowe will be simply ridiculous this weekend. [I say lower and not low downforce because the Le Mans kit was too downforce-heavy. Seemed to me to be more of a Spa-type kit. Medium downforce, if you will.] |

Cooling would be a good guess as there are radiators in the vicinity, plus the engine is making more power and therefore more heat than the LMP2 lump so has different coolinh needs. |

Listen to the latest Pruett podcast (MP #484) from 55min mark onwards, very interesting bit about the R13 from GG. Haven't seen it elsewhere

The only thing it's missing is the old awesome liveries (2010-2011 and the one in my avatar). But it's alright now and I guess fits the zebra theme

Hopefully they’ll change it to white with some red and black.
Let’s hope they get a little more speed and it comes with bullet proof reliability. No LMP1 privateer has cracked that for some time. Last edited by Adam43; 26 Apr 2019 at 00:14. |

Well what other series could they go to? Certainly though they have done well in this series by being the leading privateer, so hopefully they can make others raise their game too.

Good to see Matmut saved Rebellion's life for now as TVR didn't. The worst type of crying wasn't the kind everyone could see.
