The safety car periods always seem to be endless during the LMS races...why do we need to stay behind the safety car this long if the stuck car is long gone already?

i'm a bit confused as to how the GT2 battle appears to be back on the same lap, I thought the Porsche was a lap down after its puncture; I assume it lucked out with a safety car but is anyone able to clue me in?

I don't really see a point to penalise the team as it suffered a massive loss of positions anyways...and why did they need two hours to decide? |

hmmm, live timing just had the following in the Breaking News section: "Puncture fr/l+rigth+ - Creation CA07 - Aim (No 15)"
I think they meant Kolles, must be the wrong car database! |

Oreca and the WR just tangled at Eau Rouge, lucky escape for both cars, could have been a big high speed crash but luckily there wasnt.

Lapierre has been pushing the envelope for quite a while now with his lapping moves, now his luck has run out.
Shame he had to take out the #37, that was a neat run for the WR. Only Tinseau is left to chase Klien now. |

I don't know about anyone else but I'm enjoying the on-board Aston Lola shots - makes a change from the Pugs. Its very low in those things isn't it?

It's almost scary to see how things always turn out to work their way.... that's the Porsche luck I guess.

Before then, when the R8s were racing at Le Mans, the yellow under Audi Sport North America banner was always the faster car - but always lost for some reason or another the Joest red Audi. In 1999, the BMW got a very lucky break to win that year. Thats German luck for you. |

I beleive all works Audi's at Le Mans was run by Joest, even though they were entered under different names? And the yellow car might have been in the running in the early hours, but it was always the red that was the best.
In '99 BMW suffered heartbreak when Lehto crashed with a 4 laps lead with 4 hours to go. After pulling ahead of the Toyotas who then made mistakes and dropped further back. Only just that the backup BMW was able to pick up the win. Porsche and Ferrari are so close now that it is the car with the least problems that wins. Unlike Peugout who is so superior, you actually need a bit of luck to get the GT2 win. At Sebring it was Ferrari, today it might be Porsche and who knows come june. |

So seems someone at JWM marked a rear wheel as a front and that was there problem, chunks taken out of the rim and brake calliper.
