I'm not sure if FOX Sports 2 is worse than speed2 used to be, or nothing at all when there was some useless NASCAR practice or whatever in certain SPEED years.
But it is grim for US. On Eurosport there used to be a great deal of coverage share on less-distributed ES2, but they've actually moved towards having almost all of coverage on primary Eurosport International in recent years. Now all except one hour of the race and free practice is on ES1. So opposite of FOX... |

When I was eleven, in 1974, the Le Mans TV program on French TV was :
15h50 to 16h30, 10 minutes before the news, fifteen minutes in the morning around 9h00, and the last 30 minutes. And there was one minute each hour on the radio. Times have changed. |

Yes, one of the few areas one cannot look with nostalgic glasses and claim better
AFAIK US TV coverage prior Speedvision coming along was pretty light in early 90's too |

Yeah, I wasn't alive for most of the ESPN stretch, but some Youtube videos revealed that in 1989 ESPN televised the first and last half hour of the race. 1991 was pretty good with about the first 3 hours, another hour in the late afternoon, and then the last half our. The mid 90s until 1996 when Speedvision got the rights seemed to be nothing more than a 2 hour highlight recap.
Unfortunately, with the extremely narrow distribution of FS2, this looks to be the worst covered Le Mans in recent history. |

In early 90's there were also other US channels broadcasting highlight packages after the race.
Wonder if this rejected-to-FS2/GO-for-the-most-part affects SPEED/FOX/whatever version it is they run in Australia. They utilize US comms there. |

I guess the worrying was more about how the mainstream people will not see the race, but if someone here doesn't have access to FS2, get the official WEC race package then. I haven't read that it wouldn't be available to US.

Does anyone know if Network Ten in Australia will be streaming the race again this year? I believe they had the full 24H on last year or maybe 2 years ago on their website.

I've been pondering this over the weekend but with WEC streaming app being a pay for item these days I'm not holding my breath . Ah the good old days when a kind car company would sponsor a stream, those days are past us for Le Mans I fear. |

Network 10 streamed the 2013 race, but not 2014.
I don't want to get Foxtel installed to watch Le Mans on Eurosport, and the Eurosport player isn't available in Australia. So this year I'm going to pay for the WEC stream. 10 euros seems reasonable. I hope its better than the dodgy third party stream I watched last year. Who supplies the commentary for the WEC stream at Le Mans? |

Those TV listings for FS1 and FS2 posted match the ones on tvguide.com now. If they just put the whole race on FS GO, it will actually work out for most of us that get that at least. Their online channel is very good quality. But at this point, if I'm going to watch it on the web, might just go for a Eurosport stream or something, maybe even the WEC app...I tend to like them better anyways, especially Martin Haven and Jeremy Shaw.

As usual, there is some great information here. Perhaps someone can help me? I purchased the season pack on the WEC's web site and have watched thus far without issue. Now, whenever I try to log in there is a problem with my password. I have already requested multiple links to help with a new password all in vein as the links don't work. I have also contacted several people, (I hope) from the contacts list on the WEC page as well. Does anyone have any ideas or perhaps know of someone within the IT department?
My year basically revolves around Le Mans and I don't want to wait much longer to solve my problem. Thank you in advance! |

Nope, not me. Not sure if this comforts me or not. Perhaps someone is aware of the issue and is doing something. Then again, I have had this problem for a few weeks now and no one listed on the WEC's site will respond.
Thank you for the link. I will post there too. Last edited by porman; 3 Jun 2015 at 12:35. |

Will there be live onboards like last year, or would they be payware.
