Are you not over egging it a tad Mig? I raced in two races and survived both without a hint of damage or infact a single incident to cause concern and also you know how tight Lydden is.

At the end of the day we are trying to race cars and I am afraid these things do happen on occassions regretably. Yes there was some poor driving incidents especially from one guy who has been racing probably longer than you have been on the planet and I guess should know better but he has been spoken to. There was also several cases of people running out of talent and taking themselves out completely unaided as was an engine blowing up on a Cortina resulting in two wrecked cars that went off on his oil and the old Rover in the gravel was a result of failed brakes, the Capri at the same place a lack of talent and no one else involved as was the Cossie in qually, wrecked all by himself without another car in sight! These things happen in a motor race. What race was the Honda incident, it can't have been in the Pre-93's because that race has not been shown yet?

Classic thunder Al.Wheather it was lack of talent or not there were more damaged cars at Lydden then any other meeting I have raced at before.Still it made good tv

Classic Thunder, I must confess I didnt watch it on the day and was not taking too much notice on the TV as I was around someones house and there was a lot of chatting going on. I think the size of the circuit, the layout of the start grid all funnelling down into Chessons didnt help either as you will see in Part 3 at the start of the Pre 93's, but I watched the start of that race over and over again in slow mo and its impossible to proportion blame on anyone.

I have also set my recorder to 1:15 tonight to record the Race and Rally prog on Channel 5 as they have been showing back episodes there.

HI Guys,
Part 3 will be finalised on monday in readyness for next fridays program on Motors TV, after this, we will be adding a special offer 3 disc set of all 3 programs to our webshop.
Hope you enjoyed the programs- any feedback always appreciated-
I think our only comment would have been there were a lot of people running their own incar cameras, but we never got to see any- a missed opportunity by most !

Did you not ask racers from the CTCRC if they had any in car film footage you could use then or were they just not very forthcoming in coming up with the goods for some reason?!

No one asked me just as well though as I messed up the settings and it all came out a nice blue colour!

BTW Sal if you have not got sorted for tickets by the time you get to Mallory one of you stay at the gate and the other come and seek me out (you may have to pay the gate man a deposit) I am sure we can find some for you and get you in, I may even have some spares myself.

we did ask the club to put something in with results and we did mention to quite a few people on the day- but I think it was the usual case of people not being bothered after the event.
Hopefully if we do more next year, we can make sure of a better arrangement to ensure we get the footage.
