McNish is losing massively in traffic. I have to agree with Hindy that his hybrid system does not seem to be working properly.

Audi and Toyota are single stinting the tyres, while Rebellion is doing stinting!
The #2 Audi had a left rear braking problem, which completely ruined that tyre. |

After 1 hours (33 laps), the gap between #7 and #1 was 24 sec. Now (48 laps) the gap has increased to 36 sec.
The big question is who will be able to double stint first. EDIT: Audi and Toyota are still single stinting. Audi is doing 27 lap stints and Toyota 25 lap stints. Last edited by gwyllion; 29 Sep 2012 at 14:38. |

Lotterer now set fastest lap, 1:47.2, slowly catching back the Toyota.

Lotterer stayed in the car, but he toke new tyres. He put in the fastest race lap (1:47.274) and is gaining on Wurz now with gap now under 20 sec.
I imagine that Wurz is pacing himself to save his tyre, such that he can do a double stint. |

The gap between Audi and Toyota is shrinking quickly. I wonder if Toyota plans to double stint this set of tires. If not, they are in trouble.

I think traffic is a part of it, they're doing reasonable times.

Lotterer keeps decreasing the gap. Now it dropped to 12.8 sec!
The Audi seems to be working much better in the darkness. |

This is annoying. The number of times I've seen cars at Le Mans with the side numbers not lit, an nobody seemed to care.
