TCR ITALY - Target will return with two Hyundai i30 for the former champ Nicola Baldan and TCR Germany champion Antti Buri. Another Hyundai from Aggressive Team will be on the grid with Kevin Ceccon, a former WTCR winner!

Yeah I agree. TCR Italy 2021 is only a 6 round championship so I think he has time to do other races or maybe other TCR series

TCR ITALY - The Italian series starts this week in Monza

26 Listed for the First round.

Notable entry - Target team with x2 i30 for Buri and Baldan, another i30 from Aggressive Team for Ceccon. Reigning Champion Salvatore Tavano will be again a Cupra driver with teammates Paolino, Gurrieri and Guida. Also the Italian talent Brigliadori again with an Audi!

Fiat Tipo is reported with Kevin Giacon but on the TCR Italy site no mention about it. Instead Jonathan Giacon will drive an Honda.

Foreign drivers - Two really young driver from ALM Honda Racing: Mattias Vahtel and even a 15th years old Ruben Volt, the latter very fast in karting but has to find the budget for the rest of the season. Also in the race Stefanovski (Hyundai) Leonov (Cupra) and Dusan Kouril Jr (Hyundai).

Should be a good Championship

Yeah, I think they were listed but unsure to partecipate, so they skipped to continue developing the engine of the car.

TCR Italy R1 - Great win of Tavano, a good starting and then he progressed to the win with a fast new Cupra TCR. Bad start but great recover for Brigliadori 2nd with the Audi that seemed very fast in the straight. Eroic race for Ceccon with his i30 with no wiper and fogging inside the car: he had to lowered the window and lost critically speed. A really eroic podium
Not sure what happend to Antti Buri at the end..?

Brigliadori was close to Buri so on the straight he was in the slipstream and managed to overtake the Finnish driver.

He finished behind Brigliadori.
Did he get a time penalty? Otherwise I don't understand.

Nope, I think the graphic is not update in this screenshot. At the end he dropped 3 positions and finished 5th! From the video at the finish I heard a car with a strange noise, like a punctured tire. Wonder if it was Buri...

When he passed Ceccon through Ascari, he exceeded track limits. I assume they gave him enough of a time penalty to put him 5th.

From Aci Sport site: "...5 second penalty inflicted to Buri. The Finn pays for the delay in the pre-race stages with the Target Competiton team unable to complete the work on his car before the 5 'sign" so mistery solved and mistake by the Target Team.

TCR ITALY R2 - A very aggressive second race today. Cupra and Audi had clearly the better car onto the straights in Monza, so no surprire the 1-2 from Tavano and Brigliadori. Podium finishers excatly the same as race 1 with the hard fighter Kevin Ceccon able to bring the Aggressive Team i30 in 3rd place. First Honda with estonian Vahtel 4th and the recovering Imberti with an impressive 5th. Baldan delayed by some contacts in the mid, Stefanovski crashed, Leonov out and Buri again with 5sec penalty. After a really good start also Giacon dropped massively!

Notes: I would suggest a better review on the i30 Bop wich actually see the car with 97.5% of power and with an harsh ballast of +40kg (total weight +20kg in comparition to the new Cupra and +30kg in comparition with the Audi RS3 old model).
Also too much of safety car periods. They should improved racing with more yellow sectors and less safety car in my opinion with such sunny condition

That's pretty typical of TCR Italy though, when you can almost bet on the safety car winning the championship.
