superstars
whas happened to the superstars? weren't these suppposed to be the big v8 sedans? i only read about itin the touring car news web site-www.touringcartimes.com

There was a series called Superstars about to start in 2000. It was not cars with V8's, it was supposed to be with three litre 6 cylinder engines. BMW and Volvo were intrerested, but when the ETCC was decided to be started up again Superstars just died...

I remember seeing a peougot 406 as a demo car for 'supercar' at snetterton a couple of years ago , the car was lovely , it went out on the track and done a 30 min display , shame it never took off ,....... I think it was set up buy Andy Rouse

That is not a car from the Superstars... They only build a BMW 5-series demo car.
The Peugeot is as you say from the series idea Andy Rouse had. |

From memory this was a Eurocar type thing which was supposed to running at Rockingham but ASCAR came along and that seemed a better idea. (brain might be fuzzy though) ;-)

i thought about v8stars ut it was the superstars that meissner brought up- being it the states now why does v8stars get no sttention it seems to have more variety than some other touring car classes? does it suck?

i think v8 stars main problem is that it has absolutely no official backing from manufacturers, the cars are all silluoettes (sp?). The races i've seen on motors TV have been pretty good. It's just that the DTM is better and steals alot of the attention!
