Judging by the Paddock Bite queue it's going to be a busy day.
After shooting far too many photos yesterday I will try and just watch today

AFAIK, audio but no video. Goodwood, Monaco and Le Mans all do live streaming, so why not Silverstone? Half a dozen potential extra ticket sales?? I don't think so. Doesn't make sense to grumpy old me.

The live commentary is being broadcast alongside the Live Timing on the MST web site.

I have to say that despite a few timing glitches that took a while to catch up with pitstops and things the new screen display is a huge advance and the sound quality of the audio stream was excellent during the times I was listening.

The commentary content was also excellent IMO.

The new bloke seemed to know what he was talking about and understood what he was seeing. Good choice.

Budget I would guess - or no one, film company or sponsor, wants to take it on.

The other three locations you mention are, IMO, somewhat more photogenic too.

Fair points, well made sir. However, given that video is being broadcast live at the circuit anyway, would it cost much to stream it? I'm only asking 'cos I'm a relative Luddite. Regards. JCdeleted.

Also a good point - especially since the commentators were referring to it and describing the highlights re-runs.

Technical constraints? Though I can't imagine what they would be.

Maybe there is a secret link somewhere?

If anyone finds it, please let us know. Absolutely agree about the quality of the commentary, especially when the timing went haywire. Just wish I was there.

Excellent days racing. Big grids, nice tin and lots of good racing throughout the fields.
Wandered around the old paddock, shops, car clubs etc early and then settled down to watch the races from Luffield. Took too many photos again. Spotted a couple of tenthers but they were busy, will try and pop by tomorrow.

Naturally!

Was there Friday and yesterday. Saw the morning races but left mid afternoon after only partially completing my task of catching up with friends - yes, I know, they were avoiding me! Staying at home today but will tune into this audio thingy!

Well done you two.

No idea where I finished overall, still no results although 4th in class. Minor bit of rubbing from Group A Rover that I was passing. Overall good fun if very slippery.

Well done to Mike, Cliff and Peter - was an all round good race with some good battles right the way through the grid.

Not been home long enough to go through all the photos but here's a couple of batches with the aforementioned 'stars'. No doubt more to follow in the coming days!

Second mini-batch. Apologies - the last one is of Cliff in the Escort and is out of sequence i.e. this was before the changeover to Mike.

Nice Gary! Thank you.

First race for the car (can't count qually at Goodwood MM last year), absolutely no idea on set-up, tyre pressures etc., so think it went well. Been trying to download data from MST but struggling on iPad / Safari- is that normal?

BTW also my first race wearing a FHR (thanks to Delta lending me his ) and have to say- didn't even notice...... Advantage of a tall saloon like the Escort is that getting in and out is not compromised- guess a small GT will be different!

Great to read so many positive comments on tenths about the event. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but the organisers really have listened over the years to feedback from competitors. This was easiest and most relaxed visit for us so far. Hope it was the same for spectators?
