A pity they are using the GP circuit, the South circuit would provide a much better spectacle.

I will likely be there.

First time I'll have seen that old Bandag Bullet in probably more than 10 years. I wonder if they still use it for "tyre testing".

Q- whats going on at Calder?

9 Production Cars
9 Thunder Sports
19 HQs (4 Super TTs)
5 F4000
15 Touring Car Challenge

Is it about time we all sat down and smoked a peace pipe and get everyone together?

I think that time was even before the championship begun this year.

I got one packed and ready if those involved want to drop in.

It's sad to see the Touring Car Challenge dropping off so badly

This was the one AMRS class that wasn't motor racing land fill and should have grown exponentially as more V8 Supercars grew too old for the Development series. It is sad to see this isn't happening.Oran Park was an excellent meeting (Saloon Car battles between Walton and Heinrich a real highlight).I hope the 12 Hour can lead to a regeneration in Production Car racing where the field is getting a bit tired and outdated outside of the V8/Turbo 6 class.

That was excitement-plus! Side by side from turn 2 to suttons basically - very professional racing. The day had it all - the second race on Sunday of the trucks was great stuff - alot of biff and barge going on, and very exciting racing

I'm going through my pics of the OP tonight.... was a great weekend's racing. Plenty of action across the board. And well done to Bruce and Kris for putting on some absolutely awesome racing (again!).

Some of the pics I took:

I wouldn't call this safe. The safety car pulled to the left and broke heavily to stop on the extra bit of tar on the straight, rather than driving off to the left as it used to. Amazing that they like to be seen to be concerned with safety with safety car periods for no reason etc, then go and do a stupid thing like this. I guess its not as bad as when the trucks used to pass the old momo safety car on the straight.

Cutting the dogleg every time made it extremely unpleasant for us spectators. Skitzo takes the same line through the dirt every time, and we breathe dirt as a result.
