Hehehe the old Formula Palmer (Audi) one make series. I guess it was a (relatively) poor mans alternative to F3 / F Renault. I seem to recall they were fully maintained by MSV and drivers paid for a years motor racing and just turned up and jumped in on raceday.

FPA was not a success because it was a genuine level playing field. No place to hide, no way of gaining an advantage. If you're a young karter used to buying results why would you want to do that?

An unusual look in my photographic library - a hill climb; You may recognise one of our regular posters from the Marshal's Forum officiating at the start.

#1053 shows Zef in his Cortina GT, so another tenther featured!

Love the Lotus VI in #1056. Funny, few years ago I wouldn’t have given that model a second glance, but now appreciate the simplicity of the car and its significance in Lotus history. Must be an age thing.....

You are right Mike, the Six was very popular back when I was just a kid, a lot to do with DIY build and no Purchase Tax, I believe. I chose that snap because of the flat 'at.

No need to apologise Bauble, I doubt if you do have any photos of me, as I haven’t raced much in the UK in the past few years.

Don’t think I did the MG race at Silverstone, I mainly did the 3 hour Autosport at Snett & the Spa Six Hour, along with a few Gentleman Driver races in Rod Langton /Ian Conway’s red MGB no 37.

The badge on the wing seems to say "Daytona" which, Google advises, probably makes it a 1965 ish car. Very similar to a Lark though.
