Go Mladin, feed it to the Yanks.
Imagine Mad Eyes Craggill 8th in the F Extreme in the States. Now that is sad. |

Eric Bostrom injured his shoulder in the first corner accident during race 1 of the World Superbikes at Laguna, and is out for the season.
It's interesting they didn't put someone else on the bike, considering that is the end of it's factory racing career for the ZX7-RR |

well if Mladin wasn't cheating by riding that illegal suzuki then Ben Bostrom would be kicking his butt. |

yeah, I know, Eric is fast and so is Mladin. I'm frustrated that the season - whoever you want to count as second best - has really been all Suzuki. Frankly, I think they are all "guns" as you put it. Given a Suzuki I think Eric or Ben would be beating Mladin about as much as he would be beating them. My guess is that the RC51 is going to be replaced and maybe we'll see Ben at his best next year. As Eric said earlier in the season there is just no competition for that Suzuki out there so it is hard for me to believe Mladin is, all of the sudden, the best rider going. Reminds me of Rossi on the RC211V last year - we've all seen Sete putting it to Rossi on equal terms this year (not to mention Bayliss letting his presence be known at Brno ) and I imagine we will see something similar is US SBK next year. |

Mate, he might have won the qualifying race but you get no points for winning in wualifying in ther eal world, and he just plain gave up coz he couldn't win.
He is good I have no doubt, but he has been out there a long time now, the team is built around him. When he was on the 750, Eric totally kicked his arse on an even older bike. He is a typical spoilt brat type, all arrogant and bolshy when it goes his way, then all arsey and quiet when it doesn't. Fair play, he can ride, I could just do without the attitude. And you guys wonder why he isn't in GP! |

sure the rules this year has allowed him too dominate, but then can you explain the other 3 years he has dominated and taken the title?

No explaining necessary, the guy is good and won titles, but against whom? If he is the God you think he is why is he not doing something else.
I'll tell you why. Coz he is too old now, and too bolshy for the Japanese suits. Maybe he is also quite happy picking up a fat cheque to win easily in the US rather than push himself in WSB MotoGP. Look at the way HRC are getting slowly more ****ed off with Rossi. Mladin wouldn't last five minutes in GP, as Gobert didn't. Anotehr thing here and quite controversial but the Yosh team in the States is pretty much the best team out there. Is basically as big as the factory Japanses team, hell Yosh is basically the factory Jap team. I am aware that they do different work to the Alstare guys as they are just a satellite team who get Yosh bits but do their own work aswell. He did have very good bikes when he won the title, and he is very consistent (AMA friendly word). Mat is top notch in the States, I just yearn to see him ride well somewhere else or mayeb on a different type of bike. |

hay id wanna be picking up fat pay checks and winning, rather than lagging at the back of motogp too, and it might not be the best move to go to WSB, its not looking too stable.

how about a ducati in wsb - dont hear no-one complaining about those "DOMINATING" bikes
mladin's record speaks for itself - surely the ama american riders are better than (or equal) to say for instance a lavilla, walker or toseland...... |

They are better maybe, but only coz they know the tarcks so well. They have all been riding out there for years the likes of Duhalem and Yates, Bostrom, Roberts, there is little new blood.
i think if Lavilla etc rode over there they would struggle, as would Mladin, Duhamel, Bostrom if they rode in WSB. The real sign is when one of these guys turns up on a track they don't know and rides well. Ie Gobert, Bayliss, Corser, Chandler, Fogarty (Daytona). That is when you know you have a guy that is gonna win world championships and is the reason why the Bayliss's and Corsers ride factory bikes in world championships and the Mladins and Bostroms ride factory baikes in national championships. They are not good enough on the world stage. |
