Midland Rescue Training Weekend 2006

I would like to say a very big 'thankyou' to everyone who contributed to a great weekends training - I certainly appreciated it.

Our trainers on Saturday - Dave Pierre and Jim Whittaker
Our trainers on Sunday - Paul Gay and Gary and Doc Dave .... (sorry, can't remember!)

To Tony and Maureen Fletcher - superb hosts and faultless organisation

To everyone else - rescue's a team effort and I'm glad to be a (bigger this year!) part of it this season.

Cheers guys!

Yep

Another smashing weekend's training..

I got my presentation for over 100 attendances...

On the downside though I had to drive to and from the dinner so was yet another sober rescue member....

Will try harder in future.....

minimental took quite a lot of pics so you may be as well to drop her a pm m8....

If she is in the mood to let you have copies perhaps you could sweet talk her into letting me have some as well...

Good Photo's Mini! interesting Host site name......

In Pic 2, I see JSMW is well away with a 'Brummagem Screwdriver'! You really shouldn't encourage him. Second thoughts since when has Jim needed any encouragement, LOL.

By the way who painted the 'Cribbing blocks' Red? I painted 'em White, so they would show the blood up(When the Crew cut themselves on un-protected edges that is)!!

I notice all the troublemakers were sat on table five!

Looks like a good time had by all,

R's Jim.

Stay safe out there.

That is an interesting shot of how to (try and failed) set off an airbag on a festa, when said motor is stationary.....

. . . .
Well since I've only been living near Birmingham for most of my life and not all of it, I should obviously have got a real local to have a go.

It is always sad when an urban myth is laid to rest.

But more seriously chaps: we are now getting scrap cars on which to practise which do have airbags fitted so we need to pay close attention to the safety precautions necessary. (Or use people we don't like as casualties. )

Regards

Jim (W)

(I really must change those overalls; they give a quite (un)fair impression of my shape.)

No, changing the shape is out of the question.

Minimal encouragment required. Didn't work however, but you have to admire his persistance.

All new blocks with safety edges, and just to prove it they're red so the blood doesn't show!
