How did the Alpine get back so far ahead of the 709? they both pitted, and Alpine had to navigate the car in front of them in the box, but somehow got a 10 second lead?

Watching the Toyota's through the Porsche curves, they look really unwieldy. The drivers are earning their pay every lap at speed through that section.
