kmsport has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Swedish Assault on V8SC?

After reading this article I wondered if Volvo were developinga car to enter the V8SC championship.
Hopefully they would have a locals drive though, and not bring in their own "Bloody Volvo drivers!"......

Maybe someone here could design a livery for them.

Not so much a VE as a VE-with-obscuring-jacket. Hard to pick out what it looks like with that crap on it.

So according to that article, the photos were taken in "General Motors' Milford Proving Ground". Was this car developed in Australia or by GM, I wonder?

They weren't spy shots, they were guesses by the magazine using ripped off images.

John Farnham Whispering Jack;
The Mighty Oils;Species Deceases (EP)
and Madonna; Papa dont Preach.
All proving that the 80's has highs & lows in both music & motorsport........

The final year of Bathurst; pre Caltex Chase:

R.I.P Mike Burgman,

Alain Prost wins the Adelaide F1 GP & is World Champ in a Porsche powered McLaren.
Eddie Lawson wins the 500cc Bike World Championship.

The previously (less) than Honorable member for Broadwater, and the Chook Farmer win Bathurst.

& in January; Great Uncle Cranker took the good Uncle to his first ever Warnambool Classic, to see Garry Rush take home the Silver.

Rush was also Australian Sprintcar Champion that year, with Ian 'The Fly Lewis finishing in 3rd......

I'll have a gorilla that we don't see a Ovlov in Tony's Toybox.

And I would assume that you & all the other Qld based V8 SC 'Interested Persons'; sorry 'Stakeholders' will be making your way to Archerfield on Thus, Fri & Saturday nights to see real racers 'Doing it in the Dirt' at the Australian Sprintcar Championships?????

& I know you will be there Falc....

P.S. I'd rather a Gaerte in my midget any day.

Bugger all this talk about China and Bahrain, the 1986 ATCC was the most international this championship has ever been ,

We had a Yugoslavian-born Kiwi in a Swedish Valiant win the championship from a Hungarian-born Talmalmo farmer in a Japanese rice-burner, with the 'Aussie' hopes resting on a car tuned by a New Zealander......
