Drink Allan McNish on Oliver Jarvis

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but been reading for a while.

Anyway, this is my first post. I'm motorsport reporter at the Cambridge News and recentky spoke to Allan McNish to get his thoughts on Oliver Jarvis' potential in sportscars.

Here's what he had to say:

Welcome on the forum mwfuzz,
So we will see if Dr Ullrich follows Allan's advice : Jarvis with Tom K and Duval.
Some observers thought about Di Grassi.

I think Jarvis is a good choice, personally.

Oli's SuperGT announcement pretty much confirmed he wouldn't be full time.

Really want to see him do well. I think bumping him up to the 1 car would have been a risk.

I'd like to see more of him in a P1 car. Unfortunately right now he's just getting two outings a year.

He wouldn't be full time in WEC or Super GT? Just asking.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen Olly taking McNish's place in the car but given that he's got GT commitments and won't be doing WEC it makes sense to put Di Grassi in there.

Then he would be set to miss the 2nd round at Fuji (for Super GT).

Why? Super GT Fuji is May 4 and Spa is May 10.

FIA should update it's google search priorities, the old calendar is the first to come up on a search. You're correct. Unless Ollie flies very fast he will have to skip Fuji.

Today's AUTOhebdo issue informs us that Lucas Di Grassi will join Kristensen and Duval. Oliver Jarvis will be with Filipe Albuquerque and Marco Bonanomi for Spa and Le Mans.
