Ares should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Weather is not looking too bad at this stage, it is NZ so, that can change. Temps look like 9c - 16c Not hot but not cold. Friday looks wet with Saturday some shower, Sunday fine and cloudy. Probably a bit early yet to say this is set in stone.

Pukekohe is no longer. I stopped in a few weeks ago, part of the track was being dug up. All over red rover.

Pit lane follies were a bit of a mess.
- Mr Brown losing a wheel nut
- Mr Mostert losing a wheel
- Penrite triple stacking with only 2 cars
- Smaller teams doing their CPS early except it didn’t work…

Team Penalties to come presumably.

The triple stack this is likely a consequence of the rotating pit lane order too..

Mr Slade thought he had a shot because Mr Waters had a poor start..
Equally the WAU pit crew can be unhappy with their stop also

It is just silly to read all the stories around the 2-3 DJR result is some new dawn.. it’s one wet tipsy turvy race… BJR isn’t claiming championship contention..!

In the old days, a good car in the wet used to be an older, less tight car..
Wonder if it holds true in Gen3?

I still find that an extremely weak explanation. In Europe and America, people also rotate in the pit lane and there are no such problems even in racing series like the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with 55 cars! Do the Australians perhaps not adapt quickly enough to changing conditions and then moan about it instead of simply blaming themselves when they've messed up?

Triple 8 for once had a bad day. Waters actually passed Brown on the last lap despite that start crash. It was mentioned they complained about wrong tire pressures and Feeney made an extra stop with 12 laps left which was also strange. Nobody went off strategy here so I have no idea what was going on there.


Kostecki with a challenging comeback race. The divebomb on Courtney was hilarious.

Seemed more media-friendly than ‘effluent flow’ or ‘monumental fornication up’ or ‘corralling shopping trolleys from a Woolies carpark’

Well, the 2nd race was a bit of a snoozer. Bulls in a league of their own. Great drive by Brown to run down and get by Feeney. Good mix of teams in the top 10 after the dominant two. ADP and Shell V Power winning the round is a bit of a surprise. Good drive by Golding to come through the field. On to the next.
