You're Team No. 13 - I hpe you're not superstitious!
P.S. If both your pilots retire because they hit each other, you lose 5 points. |

Do we also get consolation points if Paul/Mikey take one of our pilots out of the race?

Number of drivers permitted.
I've just had a thought, could we do a Team Green and have three drivers instead of two?

R Racing Press Release
The R Racing team is proud to announce that they have negotiated a four year sponsorship deal with Norwegian chocolate company "Nidar Bergene". One of the most important elements in this deal is that the team owner gets unlimited supply of the company's products during those four years. Another important result of this deal is that the R Racing team will now have the necessary financial resources to take a third driver on the team. The R Racing team is proud to announce that a temporary deal has been struck with Alex Zanardi to drive this third car. The finalization of this deal depends now on whether or not a third car will be allowed. The R Racing team of course votes in favour of this, and is currently awaiting the final decision from the management. W. Hiner Press Officer |

GONK RACING (U.S) INC. Press Release
This just in from Louise Goodman:
"So Johnny, what... oops... wrong one... Ah here we are. Gonk Racing (U.S) Inc. are currently in further negotiations with Haribo, who wish to plaster the sides of our cars with Gummi Bears. Despite them bearing a resemblance to one Michael Andretti, Gonk Racing (U.S) Inc. does not feel that Gummi Bears are appropriate for the professional attitude of the team. The decision will remain in the hands of team chief, Big Thelma." |

FROM THE RACE COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE
There have been some inquiries from the Team Owners as to the feasibility of running three pilots in this season's campaign. After some study and a lot of heated debate, We have decided to amend the Rules as follows: 1. Teams will be allowed to name a third pilot if they wish, provided they can obtain funding. 2. However,, only the top two finishing pilots on a team will be counted for points in any race. 3. Should one of a Team's three pilots be the first one to retire, two points shall be deducted from the Team Score even though there are 2 Team pilots still in play. 4. Should all three pilots on a team retire, seven points shall be deducted. 5. Should all three pilots on a Team finish on the podium, five points shall be awarded. 6. There shall be no extra allowance for handbags or headache potions for teams electing to run three pilots. |

Early today, WESCAN RACING spokesman I.M. Sorry issued the following press release;
The Wescan team is pleased to announce the securing of additional sponsorship from the Nortel Networks company that will enable the hiring of a third driver, after the recent decision handed down by the commissioner. Due to previous commitments, the Wescan team will not offer the drive to Cristiano Da Matta, instead the company has hired Oriol Servia to drive the third entry. In addition, the three drivers have entered into a three-way, no punting or spearing each other agreement, in order that Wescan may have its drivers on the podium more frequently this year. The team will issue further releases anytime we see fit. |

Erm, does Servia actually have a drive this year? The last I heard he was testing for Prost.
Do The Skidmarks have a sponsor? Nice to see Slick Willie's got a job that suits his talents! All other changes duly noted. ----------------- PRESS RELEASE - Team Penske Babe In the spirit of their "All Portuguese, All the Time" policy, Team Penske Babe wishes to announce the signing of one Bruno Junqueria as a third pilot. Young Bruno brings personal sponsorship from Crayola Crayons, the Official Champ Car Crayon Company. Rumours of a panhandler annoying people at the Team Penske Babe Hospitality Tent were investigated, and a Mr. Al Unser Jr. was escorted from the premises. In his own defence, Mr. Jr. claimed that he was not panhandling, but merely seeking sponsorship money. It is believed that Mr. Jr. is involved in some form of racing on another planet, but this could not be confirmed. Pedro "El Guapo" Martinez Press Officer "We Ate All The Pies!" |

This intrepid reporter spoke to I.M. about this issue this morning, and he told me that Oriol was still under contract to P.P.I. racing and he was supposed to be on the grid this year. He also told me that he was scouring websites for information, and frankly was beginning to panic about what he was seeing!! So, with the consent of the comissioner, and despite his teams affection for Servia, they have decided to take a flyer, go Canadian, and pick Alex Tagliani for a breakthrough win and some podiums. He will be offered a contract as soon as the comissioner gives the approval of this slightly panicked but hopefully worthwhile chain of events.
