Back on topic, looks good for Proton to have Mustang Sampling backing, that's a big vote of confidence in them being able to take it to the factory Penske Porsches.

Penske's livery is yet another red-white-black rehash, like Audi & Toyota before them (and that's just in the modern era). I couldn't think of a less appropriate words to describe it. It is neither aesthetically offensive, nor is it pleasing; it's as mediocre and milquetoast as corporate liveries get.



As for the new Proton livery ... it's definitely better, but for me the black-gold combination hems a little close to the JPS rip-off liveries of about a decade ago. Hopefully it looks better in motion with the chevrons on top.

Or it looks like the Mustang Sampling varieties they've used in IMSA for multiple years too?

Yes, it does.

If it needed to be made clear, I wasn't saying Proton/Mustang Sampling ripped off the JPS liveries (that is the sole responsibility of "Lotus" in the 2010s). But I think this one has a stronger resemblance than the Cadillac DPi liveries.

Not a bad swap out, Dragonspeed is a solid P2 team and will have a chance to compete for a podium at Daytona.

Well, the color schemes on the corvettes is to the teams or sponsors. The yellow and white/black ones were the manufacturer colors, including the '99 silver and black 'Mr Goodwrench" ones.

I think they’re on to something matching the colors to the sponsor or team. It would be gold if others took a leaf out of that book.

If your talking about Formal I believe is mid to late 20's and has been running Super Trofeo for a few years and i remember either Fish or Till mentioning he was a world karting champion and ran out of money and fell off the grid for awhile Doyle on the other hand is a youngster that ran LB Cup last year

For me its not the green its the big white circle with the decal placement im sure that will change but doesnt need that big IMSA decal sticking out like a sore thumb especially compared to the GTD decal perfer a little cleaner look

And forgot who it was but saw a young Lamborghini factory driver share pictures of a number 42 Lamborghini GTD purple with GridRival on the door and Jaden Conwright, Luke Berkeley and Rob Ferrioll's name above the door so while not on the season entry list something to keep a eye on.
