Colour levels and Getting them correct

I was just wondering which picture/edit people would/do prefer. This is because im not sure myself which way to go on some photos/generally. For example does the grass on the second look unnatural? or does the photo have better colours? i am leaning towards prefering the first from a personal POV, but i know other people may not share this opinion. Therefore any help would be much appriciated.

DEFINITELY the second one (IMG_5796_1)

Much more contrast, nothing unnatural about the grass. The first pic looks like its straight from the camera, overall looking like someone lit a bonfire next to you just as you were releasing the shutter. The second looks more like what your eye would perceive.

I like the second one of course, more contrasty and saturated.

Nice capture. 2nd one is best. It would look even better with a slight adjustment of 'levels and even more contrast and saturation (I tried it). Finished off with a tad sharpening.

Nice shots. The second one is better. In your galleries, I would suggest that you try not to post like images when one will do. Example - http://www.farzad.ca/gallery/album74/IMG_6088 & http://www.farzad.ca/gallery/album74/IMG_6154

or

http://www.farzad.ca/gallery/album74/fer & http://www.farzad.ca/gallery/album74/IMG_6045

They're of the same car and almost the same view. Use the space to show another car if you can.
