Whos at the WTCC at Silverstone
Is there anyone here going to the WTCC at Silverstone on the 13-15th May? Just wondering about tickets, mine turned up today and I have only 1 entry ticket and something to put in the car, is that the second ticket as I cant see anything in the info that was sent with it.
And is the camp site in the same place as normal? Cheers Brickkicker |

Wtcc Tickets
I got two entry tickets and instructions but no car pass, this is a little worrying.
Also looking at the timetable we could be in for some long days, will we be marshalling the promotional laps. If so it looks like we have got 3x12 hour days and signing on Sunday at 6:30 to 7:15!!!!!!! Thats some early starts and long days, this reminds me of the Grandprix. |

Suggest you contact John Saddler of the BRSCC to confirm this. |

Anyone know which circuit they are using or are they using both the GP and the international. Could be fun but does look like a long weekend. Would have though they would have had more than support races than 1 though. |

Since the loss of the permanent campsite, this has been the "normal" area, adjacent to the Copse runway. The International Circuit is the only one being used and this meeting is geared up to run to live T.V broadcasts!

Tickets arrived today - I shall be there Saturday and Sunday, the Sunday sign on times do seem slightly cruel, explained in the instructions as being because of TV. I'm only about an hour away from Silverstone, but even so it means leaving earlier than I'd like on Sunday morning, and Saturday only allows an extra 30 minutes in bed. I think I may be booking a day off for Monday! Looking forward to it though.

What is the race programe? Why is the sign on time so early what time does it go out on TV? No programe has arrived with the tickets so what is racing besides the world touring cars?
Sorry for all the questions. Steve |

I think you will find that the whole of Sunday is planned around the live Eurosport broadcast, which unfortunately for us means Central European Time ie +1 hour. Thus we have to do things an hour earlier
I think the Club tried to get the times altered, but TV being TV didn't want to change |

I'll be there. Another bod who hasn't camped at Silverstone for years and years but some friends insisted that we use their camper. We're very glad too having seen the sign on times, which are:
Fri 0745-0815 Sat 0700-0730 Sun 0615-0700 BRSCC instructions say breakfast vouchers will be provided. They also say that there is a dress code for race control and go on to mention no jeans - I hope that is still just for race control. No vehicle pass enclosed so hopefully none required - handy because I'll be driving the camper (on Thursday night) and my wife will be bringing her car. I had assaumed we would be using the GP circuit but all the evidence points to it being the International (e.g. the 500kms race is 139 laps). The only timetable I have found is the provisional one at on www.silverstone-circuit.co.uk (dated 2 May). If we don't have to man the promotional laps then the days are: Fri 0800-1715 Sat 0800-1610 Sun 0800-1710 Enjoy! |

Yep, the BRDC availability states the WTCC will be running on the International Circuit.
Long days - to be expected at an FIA meeting. See ya there, Rosie |

Well, most of you are one-up on me. I got final instructions, but no tickest or car pass! For any Silverstoner marshals out there, I assume the BRDC marshals pass thing I got sent at the start of the year acts as a ticket, but does that cover the car as well???

As far as I am aware there are no car passes. It may well be that Silverstone ES sent out car passes, but that BRSCC were not given any so were unable to send out any car passes to their marshals.
We received tickets from BRSCC and certainly there was no car passes. If you arrive early wearing overalls I doubt if you will have any problem getting in without car passes, however it will be interesting to see if Alan and I have any problems as we are doing Startline and can turn up later (which makes a change for us). Hopefully I will have a chance to walk round during the weekend and see some of you then, if not down at The White Horse. |

Yes your BRDC pass will get you and the car into the cricuit.
I hope that we don't have to cover promo laps...that means a 2 hourish break on friday and a nice finish at about 4:15 on the saturday! Yay pub! |

Hi all,
I can confirm that the Circuit is looking after the manning for the Promotional laps. If anyone is interested in helping with this, you would be made welcome. Julian Chief Observer |
