I've tried using Opera (7.54) and the pages seem to load faster, so I'm assuming it's an issue with MSIE instead of at server level.

Second - that link is certainly faster. However - as falcemob says - he is seeing the same issue I am - top banner loads, then hangs. Maybe it is down to order of loading - but could also be the fact that you are not only loading your own date, but an ad image plus googles. Not sure where the ad image is coming from (server wise) so can't speculate on it, but google obviously has to go to a completely different set of servers (from memory, when we used GoogleAds we found it went to one server for account informaiton and then a second server to obtain relevant ads - this may have changed but was one of the reasons for slowness 12 months ago). As for getting people to report - I have made that request but, obviously, this is up to each individual as to how they want to work things - I prefer this way - identify the problem and work at it to fix it or get it fixed - otherwise it just sits there and festers. |

Graphic banners are served from the same server. Therefore loading issues are probably with reference to Google and your connectivity speed to same.
Test style ID has now been removed from use. |

OK - what have you done in the last 20 minutes?
The main index pages still have a slight delay (probably 5 to 10 esconds at most - but much much faster than the last week) - the forum thread page is now as it was 3 weeks ago - the whole page in one hit. |

Only change was deletion of style that excluded advertising.

Thus the problem is an issue with MSIE and not with the web server or the site. |

So at present it could simply mean that that this time of day would mean improved speed to Google - but the reliance on tables (and having looked at the source to some of these pages they are very heavily dependant on tables) could see long delays back again.
That being the case - I am assuming the ads are embedded in the main table and not in their own seperate tables (which would/could help this issue). Quote:
