Shuttle bus for Arnarge and Mulsanne corner
Hi,
In preparation for the approaching pilgrim trip to Le Mans I wondered if someone knew when the free shuttle bus service for Anarge and Mulsanne corner starts? I have used the service the past times at Le Mans, but it have always been sometime late Saturday evening. This year we have planned to watch the start of the race from Anarge, and are therefore curious to know if we will have to use our feeds all the way to Anarge :-) Best regards Henrik Larsen www.24h-le-mans.dk |

Not sure about buses out to Arnage, but I got caught out last year expecting a bus from Arnage back into the start/finish. They didn't start running until well after the start. I'm presuming that the first buses won't get going until after 3pm.
It's not a horrendous walk to Arnage from the start, having said all that, but perhaps the old pieds should be conserved at the start of the race. |

The bus leaves from opposite the museum/Main enterence, it stops at Arnage/Indianapolis then Mulsanne returning directly to the main gate.
It stops at midnight, so if you need to get back, don't leave it to the last minute. |

How do you recognize those busses?

IIRC they say Mulsanne on them. However, don't quote me on that.
Just look for a large group of people on the other side of the road in a small carpark type place. Be prepared to use elbows, others will. |

But at Jase writes you often need to use your elbows. Especially late in the evening trying to leave from Anarge. |

I got a mate who likes to walk too, from Tertre Rouge to Porsche curves and back without a fuss, but walking to Arnage/Indianapolis always seemed to be too far... Now this year we will pay close attention to those shuttlebuses.
Just to spend 24 hours+ on the grandstand or surroundings would get me as mad as a badger... After all it's a sportsevent right? |

The other point to pick out from Jase's original post is that to return from Arnage/Indianappolis to the circuit you have to get an outbound bus and go via the Mulsanne and then back to the circuit. |

Hitchhicking works too. You can walk along the road to Arnage corner and you have chances to find a car. But mind you have security signals at night (lights, reflectors...)
One year I took to Arnage three persons and their three giant packs of beer... |

I would never ever walk from the main 'village' area to Arnage at night. I lost count of the number of pedestrians our bus driver forced into the hedge last year as we returned to Arnage... it was ludicruous! Kinda funny seeing we were on the bus but I'd not have wanted to be one of the pedestrians!!
