Woodchuck/Groundhog

For those of you in the UK and other parts of the world, here are fotos of a family of Woodchucks whose cousin ruined Anthony Davidson's possible podium finish at Sunday's Canadian GP.

Hi

Morning Barry,

Talking about wild life, over the last 40 years it has always fascinated me that almost immediately after the curfew at Brands. the black crows that have been putting up with men and women and their toys making such a noise in their domain, come down from the trees over South Bank and wander around the track looking for dead flies etc to eat for supper.

Paula

Those annoying hairy things deserved to be squashed. We've too many right here and they ruin the lawn and eat into the basement. One of the reasons we all have guns!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

one of those childhood tongue twisters that invariably ends up with a wrongly pronounced _uck word, kids today still say it.

Canadian folklore class over students....

But they sure can chuck dirt. That is why cattlemen love them to death with their .22's.

They may be cute (I don't think so) but ranchers prefer their cattle without broken legs.

In Memoriam

Just been watching Speed Channel re US GP practice and I gather that a woodchuck symbol has been painted on the Ant's Super Aguri to commemorate the untimely passing of the poor little guy/girl last Sunday....

That's really cute and a nice thing to do....

Raccoons

This evening about 9.30 pm, my friend Claire and I here in Wisconsin were watching the pouring rain thru the lounge window when we heard squealing from outside.

Mummy Raccoon was on the Bird Feeder and the young ones were running up and down wanting some seed too.

So I opened the door and 5 cuties were then taking shelter on the porch.

I had my camera ready and took a foto of one of them who then nearly followed me into the house.

Don't know who was more shocked, them or me but I quickly shut the door as I know they have a hefty bite.

But I had better not post the piccie here as I don't want to get into trouble.
