DTM 2006 Final - Hockenheim Thread
It is the last race of the season on Mercedes home track. For one I am hopeful Bruno Spengler will claim second in the Championship and wonder if we'll see young Björk have another go, or not.

Thanks for renaming it Hazard.

Still no word on Kiesa or Björk for Audi this weekend? Kiesa tested Wednesday according to his website, but no decision. Maybe there's an update by now....dunno. http://www.kiesa.com/news_view061025.html

Also from dtm.de - "Thed Björk was quick once more: in 15th place, the Swede was again the best-placed driver with a 2004-car".

Fastest lap time of the day in testing though goes to Bruno Spengler followed by Ekström and Häkkinen. Hopefully Bruno can carry that over to tomorrow in qualifying.

I don't know exactely, he did a spin at his last lap in first turn, the car seemed to be a bit damaged

Green just did 1:33.639

Has HH qualified on pole this year? I don't think so, I think that's his first. Good for him. Spengler 2nd. Top 7 times very, very close should make for a great race tomrrow.

Heinz's first pole in DTM ever. I think Carlton is recalling an instance where Frentzen nearly claimed pole for Opel, but in that shootout I think he was pipped later.

I don't know the weather forecast, but during the F3 Euroseries Race, the weather was fine and the track was dry

But that's true Mercedes seems slower in wet conditions, the best Mercedes during WU was Alesi (6th +1.694 s)
