superfox2000 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2004 competitors of Formula Woman

Everyone now knows that the final 16 of 2004 Formula Woman were not the best of the crop! Natasha Firman is still racing a Mazda RX8 and Sarah Bennett-Bagss has raced an MG.

What has happened to the rest?

Speaking to the guy that runs Firman's RX8 in Britcar; he tells me that it is the same car that Firman drove in the FW series. They started developing when Mazda took the cars back from Team Touraco who went bankrupt during the 2004 series. Firman had a few developement bits on the car and it was fettled by her father Ralph Snr. She had coaching from their old friend Martin Donnelly. Natasha only did series for fun and is not going professional like her brother.

Yes, it is Pippa Cow. I too sometimes have problems with the 750MC site, especially when accessing pdf files.

Sarah Kavanagh did not take part in the FW circus! She is a serious racer!

There were a couple of pilots, sister of Dan Eaves, a stripper and the Trackday Queen. Have they all gone back to their former jobs! It must of been a very poor show if only 3 are still racing!

At least Kelly Jane Wells won the Pick Up race at Rockngham!

Hi Rob,

You have an interesting profile website! You must be the person to tell us what happened to the famous 16 top British women racers who took part in the great TV circus called Formula Woman!

Suzi Hart-Banks was the best ever female racer!

Suzi Hart-Banks

Suzi is still travelling, but you nether know she might make a comeback! I have not heard of Natalie Nokes; she is wearing an "Exchange and Mart" suit! Was she the poledancer who did both "Be a Grand Prix Driver" and Formula Woman?

If you want a real FW series then put decent drivers like Legge, Hart-Banks, Stoddart, Whittaker and others who can drive so we can enjoy the racing.

This thread seems rather negative about the ladies who raced in FW. I have little doubt that the reason why more of them are not currently racing is purely down to finances. For most people even raising the budget for locost requires some fairly major sacrifices and given that women generally earn less than men this only makes the position more difficult.

Yep,agree there too.Back in the 70s when Brands was run by John Webb he ran a series for the best ladies in standard Escorts.Though I never did discover how Tiff Needell's then girlfriend,Christine, got a drive! She hit the bank at Botom Bend in practice and was carted off to the hospital, sustaining more injury from her one drive, than Tiff has in 34 year career to date!
Natalie Nokes was well discussed in the forum -try the search function.

I think had the series not rejected the girls that could actually drive then we might of heard more about them. Lorraine Pinner did not exactly show herself in good light when she raced a Ginetta last year.

Amy Chambers and Annabel Meade are having fun in the Clio Cup.

My whole point is that these 16 were supposed to be cream of Women's motorsport; but they were there because of reasons only Tim Harvey and Glew know why!
