Mother of two or not, would the same be said of a mid-thirties male? I think so.

By rights if she does win it, she'll be the oldest person to win it in quite some stretch by my recollection?

Because driving a rally car on a special stage is harder than driving laps around a circuit with braking markers and run offs. And to do a season of events without making any major mistakes is even harder.

ALL achievements by women in motorsport should be recognised.

This thread continues to demonstrate the shifting of goalposts, every time the above ocurs.

Molly joins a very comparitively small group (due to multiple winners) of drivers who've one the ARC.

Charlotte Poynting won an Aussie Racing Cars race the other week, first female to do so, but again, probably doesn't mean much in this thread, probably because the cars don't have a reverse gear contained within the gearbox, or some pedantic BS like that.

i agree all achievement should be recognised. but the goal post is circuit racing Its in the title of the thread

adding rallying to it is an attempt to move the goal posts.

The criteria was set in 2008 in the first post and that still holds true

Maybe it is time to start a new thread encompassing all forms of motor sport and recognising those ladies breaking the glass ceiling so to speak.

Why? And nothing stoping you.

But from the very first post women who had won other forms of motorsport were acknowledged. Including drags and rallying.

This thread however is about high level circuit racing

Similar to the "Legends" cars you would have come across - motorcycle engine, spaceframe and a body that resembles a number of different types of cars - at about half scale or less I guess. If you want to check them out, they'll have a web site. The racing can be good.
