IS Mayer a joke or what??
Looking at the T&S at the first MIPS practice, and Scott Mayer is 2,2307s slower than Festa at the moment, someone has got to stop this guy....
If he runs Indy this year, he and Roth are going to have a tough battle at the back... |

The key statement in your post is, "at the first MIPS practice". Patience Snips, the team may have told him to go out easy for awhile...

easy snips , yes he is off the pace but hey there could be a valid reason for that , car trouble perhaps ???
there could be a whole host of things that are keeping him slower than he should be |

I seem to recall that he didn't pass his Indianapolis Rookie Test last year for not being upto speed in time. He isn't a young gun by any means, he's another guy who's built up a successful business and is fulfilling his ambition to go racing, which he's entitled to do. He's not the first to follow this route and he won't be the last, but perhaps a more substantial career in a lower formula or more testing time in MIPS/IRL would give him a boost.

he has actually had a couple of races in the main game but I believe he crashed out of all of them.

Snips, while Mayer might not be the best driver out there, he is out there doing it while you and I can only sit back and complain about his driving talent.
