Who will take away the Round 4 prize at Win Ton

Yes it's a cheap shot at the fact the next round was supposed to be in China but seriously time to start discussing the next round of the main game.

So who's going to Round 4 of the V8Supercars at Winton on June 2-4, who do you think will do well, who do you think shouldn't bother to turn up at all??

Let the discusions begin . . . . . . . . .

I'm a Winton virgin .. first trip to the Benalla Circuit.. Cant wait.

My Tips;

1. T.Kelly
2. G.Tander
3. M.Skaife
4. S.Richards
5. R.Kelly
6. C.Lowndes
7. M.Winterbottom
8. C.McConville
9. G.Murphy
10. R.Ingall

But then again, U'd have more change of winning Powerball then predicting a winner.

Um, I hate to break this to you Oaksnaf but the CAMS National Series round on the 2-4 June weekend was dropped in favour for the round of the V8Supercar series and the V8Utes aint playing any more.

Looking at the sup' Reg's on the V8 series web site the support categories are as follows;

HQ's (4 Races)
Historic Tourers (3 Races)
Lotus (3 Races)
Formula Ford (3 Races)

V8 Race 1 = 34 Laps (Saturday arvo)
V8 Race 2 = 46 Laps (Reverse Grid)
V8 Race 3 = 46 Laps

Oh blimey I am behind!

Shame though, I wouldn't mind CAMS National running with V8's.

HQ's.... thats an interesting one. McDonald should win that hit out.
Formula Ford - John Martin
Historic - Paul Stubber
Lotus - ?
V8's - Lowndes

Holdens have always dominated at Barbagallo, they were always strong at Pukka and I expect that Ford will have the pace at Winton it does suit the Falcons strengths more. Current form shows that the Fords are in a better position than ever. SBR, 888 and FPR are all contenders.

1. C.Lowndes
2. G.Tander
3. J.Bright

Lowndes and Whincup believe Winton will be much better suited to their chassis, so look out.

We all know from previous years that there are a lot of similarities in setup between Qld and Winton, and Lowndes had a rocket ship there last year.

6.213km...Enjoy Win Ton.

It's a fun place to watch motorsport.

Stay away from the Winton Burgers. If you feel a bit hungry there's some good chinese food in benalla.

Although the town will be packed with race fans, the Chinese restaurant will have no problems finding a date to fit you in.

The joke about the Chinese is understood, haha, but from your post it can be misunderstood that there is something wrong with the food at Winton, which is totally false.

Food at Wan tin

I went to Winton last year and asked for a cheese burger from a lady who was about 35/40 - she got I think a salad roll from the area behind her and went out the back of the stall which was just beside the pit/public area - a few minutes later she returned with my burger in a bag.
It was the worst burger I think I have ever had in my entire life.
I am going up for the historic event soon, but will take my own grub !!

The burgers at the Indy are really good but 6 bucks, I could get a large Maccas meal for the same price.

I will give you a hot tip, my grandmother is older than that.

People actually travel regularly to Winton just for the Winton Burgers, anyway, enough about the food.

Winterbottom is my hot tip if it is wet (which it won't be) otherwise Cam McConville.

I am glad that your gran was not the server on my date with destiny.
I am sure from my experience that people who travel will be regular on the way home as well!
Tropicbottom and very wet springs to mind - but yes Cam could deliver the goods this time.

Adam, you say it wont be wet....

Are you taking about the racing or the burgers?

On the back of every ticket it states, Motorsport is dangerous.........perhaps you could put the Race Director in charge of the kitchen and put granny into Race Control. The racing would not suffer and perhaps the burgers would improve.

Just an idea, it could make for a safer racetrack.

But before you put Timmy in charge of the cooking, you need to run it by CAMS. There's some stuff their insurance wont cover.
