Peter Harding should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
24 Hour 2CV race at Snetterton

This race has been, I understand, a great success at Mondello but has had to be moved to Snetterton thsi year on 13-15 June. BARC (SE) are running it but need twice as many marshals as have currently volunteered. I know its not the club I am normally associated with but am appealing for more of you to contact BARC and help. (if, of course, you are not going to Le Mans)

Can anyone explain why they put it on the same weekend? It's crazy from a spectator and driver point of view, but they're going to have the same problem with attracting marshals too! Madness.

Peter, I think there are some of the Irish crowd that are hoping to come over for this - if you email me at comms@mrmci.com I'll put out a bulletin for it if you like?

Qoute from BARC S/E news sheet: "Marshals will be well looked after with a special parking/camping enclosure and relaxation marquee (?). There should be goody bags at signing on donated by Citroen together with food vouchers. Circuit transport will be provided to and from posts. Even if you cannot manage all three days please try and attend one or two. Contact Paul Philips on 0208 854 6945 for more details". Support races include several of the Caterham series. Sorry about the clash with the other 24 hour event, but apparently this was the only date available.

Now would I have to join BARC if I wanted to do the 24 heures du Snetterton?

Don't really know how the club situation works, but I doubt they'd turn you away, Log.

Call Paul Philips - 020 8854 6945 - he'll tell you what you need to know.

All marshals for the event will get:
- camping area reserved for marshals and officials
- social marquee next to Tyrrells restaurant
- refreshment vouchers
- prize raffle, including bottles of Glenfiddich, King Dick tool set, etc
- free miniature of Glenfiddich for every marshal
- and more

And in the unlikely event that they do turn you away Log, you can always fire marshal for one of the teams (nudge, nudge )

Loq...
No need to be a member to do this meeting.
Most clubs dont require membership for marshalling

The fire marshalling sounds interesting. I'll see you next weekend at Oulton anyway, Chris...

hi, i think i may be able to get my brother and dad to do it, they dont have the orange overalls but the rest should be ok, they're not members either but as has already been said that is not a requirement. i'll try to get a guarentee out of them to make it concrete.
just out of interest..roughly how many more people are needed to allow it to go ahead.
