Pictures of the rear of the Williams?

I haven't seen any close up pics of the rear of the FW25 Williams, particuarly the engine cover/exhaust/rear wing.

Anyone have any?

Why are there no pictures avaliable of this?

Do photographers have to show every photo to the teams in order for them to be "screened" of any sensitive material?
Do Williams not want pictures of their back end ?

In a word, no. THE most sensitive part of the car, hence why it's always covered at meetings. Ferrari always launch their cars without the aero kits on the rear or the current years wings for that same reason.

What about private photographers trackside at testing? Are they allowed to shoot whatever they like?

Here's one that I've pushed the levels on to try and reveal more detail in the critical places. You can see the slim-line transmission with smooth bodyworked sides.

Aerial view - the bodywork towards the rear wheels masks things a little but you can see the extent of the cutting away of the sides from near the front of the side pods to the (slim) transmission... It's not as radically cut as the F2003 (what is?) but compares with the F2002, at least from above (F2002 being quite a bit lower).

The bulges at theback of the airbox/engine cover are to accomodate the dampers.

Well...i'd better not cause if not i'd get myself involved with a another heated arguement with our friend Glen.

Comparing to the FW24, the sidepods for the FW25 are wider but because of the shorter exhaust lenghts, the curve or 'cutting away of the sides from near the front of the side pods' are slimmer and shorter. Sure there's a lot of venturi areas looking from the side as the cut away is shorter now....still no slim transmission

The transmission is all new - and smaller than last year's. Nothing on any of the 03 cars is in the F2002 league, but the Williams is at least a step in the right direction and seems, to me at least, to be more radical than any of the other cars. The Renault might be a "dark horse" exception to that -there's a lot of clever stuff in that car, hiding under a curiously dull exterior.

There's a big bulge at where the transmission is usually placed and to be more precise where it is, a part from both side's suspension rod is connected to it.....that's why i said it's not small or slim

Nearly all of the cars have those bulges over the dampers.

The more I look at this car the more I like it - I just hope it works...
