Friday practice

Well the difference between Rubens in 1st place and Yoong in last is over 5 secs...i expect it will shink much in the 2nd session.

Montoya's car looks really loose . But he still managed 4th place in the session.

Irvine quick indeed, but so is de la Rosa! They're either run light both, or Jaguar managed to get it right. Eventually. Anyway, good luck to them!

PS: Oh yes, the Macs are looking good....

McLaren 1-2? It's like 1998 all over again
Irvine in 6th goes to show that Friday practice is little more than a formality.

YES!!!! McLaren 1-2!!! DC was only 0.043 secs off Barrichello in the 1st session as well... ive got a good feeling about this race...and what about Irvine? a good effort from him. De La Rosa's right up there too.

practice or not practice, it won't change the fact that that Alex Yoong will still be 2.5 seconds behind Webber tomorrow in qualifying. I know that Minardi need the sponsership money, but it's so unfair for all these other drivers who do have talent that could make good use of that seat!

Could not agree with you more. Yoong should go. And Webber should not be wasted at Minardi.

Agree to MR V ....2.5 secs is along way off....

out of interest , has Yoong ever raced at Magny cours before ?....if he hasnt that will equate to abit of the time hes down on Webber , but 2.5 secs is miles away.

I know Yoong done some F3000 , but i dont think Magny Cours was one of the races he raced in.

For those of you who don't have the pleaseure of sharing an office with Garcon......his recent comment on Trulli's thoughts following 2nd practice are worth a comment...

Only the Bridgestone/Ferrari looked good on Bridgestone tires. For teams like Jaguar and Toyota to look so "good" ahead of Sauber and other better teams I would say tires will play the difference this weekend. If ever Sato wanted to be a hero this weekend is the perfect time.
