Dont forget JMB has their own entry this year, so the entry for AF wont need to be outsourced.

Larbre Competition seems to have some vacant seats for the 24H...and if he can not make it there, he does know the Lamborghini, so perhaps putting him in next to Peter Kox (and Roman Rusinov) will be an option

Another one for the waiting game it seems...

I've just noticed who's in at Labre!!! Frederick Maquewieieidieiwicki!

He's mega. Class of FIA GT3 right now, I'd love to see him in fia gt for now though, a le mans berth is good enogh.

I get the feeling it will be vosse and franchi joining him, though.

And i would've bet on menten for Lambo but not so anymore.

Why don't you think Larbre will bring Christophe Bouchut? I would think he would give them the best chance.

Felmbayer SR. will be driving in his porsche entry, alongside A.DAvidson and Wolf Hensler.

It's probably a matter of money. With Mako in, it does make one suspicious that Patrick Bornhauser may not be far behind with wallet in hand. Of course, two pay drivers is the most likely metric anyway - I'm just speculating who one might well be.

For many teams in the position that Larbre's in (like Creation) getting a 2nd entry turned down prevents them from making one all-pro or 2-pro car.

You have got to be joking !!! I dont blame Felbermayr for wanting a drive , but if Porsche want a win , they gotta do better than that especially in the face of some brilliant Fiat drivers .

I give up !!!

I guess Lieb is for the Lizards then ..... possibily Overbeek-Bergmeister-Lieb with a bit of luck .

Nothing wrong with him, but he's Lizards, and Lieb's Felbermayr.

From the ACO press release:

Quote:
David Hallyday and Luc Alphand are going to put their celebrity to the test, one in the Larbre Competition Saleen and the other in his own team’s Corvette. A former British defence minister, Lord Paul Drayson, also dreams of being on the grid; he is currently racing an Aston Martin DBRS9 in the ALMS.

I have to admit I'm puzzled by that one- with Lieb presumably already commited at Flying Lizard, Henzler is a logical choice to take over the seat, but with only 3 997s in the race, barring another withdrawal or two, you'd have thought it would be in Porsche's interest to encourage those teams to pack them with as many factory drivers as possible.

Looking at the Porsche factory men this year, Collard and Dumas are with Pesca, and I'm sure I've read somewhere that Maassen is likely to be the third driver for the Essex Spyder.

If I've been following the plot accurately, so far in GT2 we've got Lietz in the IMSA car, presumably Lieb and Bergmeister with the Lizards and Henzler in the Felbermayr-Proton car- by my reckoning, that still leaves Westbrook, Pilet, Long and Bernhard sidelined if I've got the list right

My driver lineups would have been

Bergmiester, Henzler, Long for Flying Lizard

Narac, Lietz, Westbrook for IMSA

Davidson, Pilet, Bernhard for Felbermayr

but that's just wishful thinking.

Racing Box's Press Officer has dispelled rumours that the team are about to forfeit their Le Mans entry assuring Endurance-Info.com that the Lucchini Judd will indeed take it's place on the grid. During the Barcelona test on 15th May, the team successfully resolved many of the issues which had given them cause for concern and ultimately led to their non-appearance at Spa.

The Porsche line up looks like this , I think .

IMSA ..... Narac-Lietz-Long

Felbermayr ..... Felbermayr sr-Davison-Henzler

Lizards ..... Van Overbeek-Bergmeister-Lieb .

Pretty strong line up except for the Felbermayr sr bit . But remember that BAM won their class with a "gentleman" driver in the car . Davison and Henzler are well capable of doing the entire race with only a token drive from grandad . But they will have stiff opposition from Fiat & the other 2 Porsche's .

Cant wait for the battle to begin . Its looking like a brilliant year in GT2 , like always .
