Sad news reported over on Atlas is that poor Will is "very seriously ill" at the moment. No news as to whats wrong, but Im sure you will join in me in wishing Will the best at this time - a truly great sportscar and TC driver I think you will agree, and whats more a very popular personality with race fans around the world.

This is terrible news. Will was always one of the few drivers in the BTCC who would merrily chat to the volunteers. People like him are badly needed in motorsport!

Will was great last of a great breed.

Strange that these great touring car drivers come down with mysterious problems.

Soper was quite obviously injured in that crash at Brands last year but he said it was the complications that prevent him from driving.(Doc sez that he would be risking his life.)

Ravaglia also retired with a mysterious physical/private problem that kept him from driving?

No doubt Harvey will retire due to high blood pressure,(hee , hee lay off them pies tim.)

It is sad news indeed.
I've known that Will has been ill for several months, and hope that the new report at Atlas is just a case of them only recently finding out, rather than a deterioration in his condition.

Hope Will gets well soon. I've had correspondance with Arena lately and helped them make something to cheer him up. I never knew why he needed cheering up until now.

I was speaking to someone today who used to look after Will and Mr Menu when they were at Williams - she'll be pretty sad to hear this news as she was raving about what a nice fella he was. Any idea what's up ?

The memory of him covered in flour and water during the end of season fun and games at Silverstone,grinning from ear to ear, has remained with me since.
