Paul Ricard winter testing entry list
http://www.europeanlemansseries.com/...ver-040215.pdf ACO's own pathetic PR piece for this on elms.com is full of inaccuracies, so to sum it up myself: Full season entries missing (not so unexpectedly): LMP3 #5 Villorba Corse LMP3 #7 Bolton LMP3 #11 Lanan LMP3 #18 Rollcentre GT3 #61 AF Corse 'New' entries not on the original full season entry list: GTE #80 Kessel GT3 #57 SMP |

AF Corse running an armada of eight cars in the series, that's a pretty good effort. Ten cars for next year?

Looks like I accidentally put out the full season entry in the previous post, here's the actual link for winter test
http://www.europeanlemansseries.com/...t_030315-2.pdf Anyway AF Corse already has nine entries in the full season list if you count in the SMP cars that they are assisting, and if the SMP GT3 comes along as well it is ten cars... |

Entry list for Silverstone: http://www.europeanlemansseries.com/...ist_120315.pdf
All 34 full season entries are there I think, plus the addition of a Lamborghini in GTC, entered by Gulf Racing UK. Last edited by Pontlieue; 12 Mar 2015 at 11:51. |

that looks like a pretty balanced list (ignoring the semantics about teams etc, a car is a car). i think on track it's going to be visually a lot better with more prototype cars in there rather than sportscars. seperates it from the blancpain type series.
i'd like to see some younger drivers in the lmp3 cars, but appreciate that perhaps this year will require a pioneer one or two to make the jump and win the series for that to happen en masse. |

Tweet from Marcel ten Caat:
While we're racing at Sebring, @JotaSport announces Nick Yelloly will not be part of their 2015 lineup after all. New third ELMS driver TBA. |

Just wondering if anyone knows how many LMP3's will actually be taking part at Silverstone?

Greaves have confirmed their ELMS line up:
Nathanael Berthon, Michael Lyons, Mark Patterson. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2015/0...y-notes-1.html Harry Tincknell is testing with Jota. Any news on whether he will race for them as well, up until LM? |

That's Murphy, not Greaves.
Implication is that Tincknell won't be there but they already have the replacement lined up. |

Interesting situation for SMP (from DSC):
"The other is the SMP Racing GTC Ferrari with a developing story over the tyres for this car. The GTC class now has one make Dunlop Tyres and Goodyear Dunlop are a US owned company. SMP Bank, and SMP Racing owner Boris Rotenberg are both parties listed in current US trade sanctions against Russian companies and individuals and, as such, Goodyear Dunlop are unable to supply tyres for the car. There appears to be nothing to prevent the cars from running at this test on tyres they currently have in stock. SMP maintain that they only planned to run the GTC car tomorrow in any case as Boris Rotenberg is not present here today – His name is indeed on the entry listed as not authorised to drive today (i.e. he has not signed on) The team are currently looking for a solution that will enable them to fulfil their full season entry." |

Only 12 teams out of 27 entered scored times in the relatively cold night session of Day 1.

Any word on what the coverage of this will be like this year? Will there be internet streaming, or is it MotorsTV only?

Streaming + sub-SD Motors + some obscure channels for highlights as usual
Don't really understand the reasoning for organizing dark night session last night seeing as all the european races are held on bright daylight. |

No idea why you'd go out otherwise though, risking damage in those tricky conditions. Maybe the lack of heat is representative of a miserable Silverstone... |

Yeah but you do get 4 hours of night time practice at Le Mans regardless, plus whatever private testing you do within those pitiful 15 allocated restriction days LMP2 teams have now.
In 2013 the ELMS race at Ricard was run to early darkness hours, but that was ditched for last year. Anyway, not that I have anything against darkness running - and most certainly not on circuit that's free of huge spoiled floodlights - on the contrary |

Going by previous years, in real terms you get just over half that, what with all the red flags from excitable GTE-Am drivers driving into things.
Agreed on the full darkness front too. Ricard looks awesome in the dark (maybe because you can't see the asphalt?) |

That's quite an interesting situation. I'm sure SMP would've seen this coming, whether they can find a solution is another thing. Maybe buy the tires from a third party? |

I've said the same sort of thing about Spa too, my love with the circuit has vanished close to zero with the recent modernizations but it's still awesome at night in pitch black especially when you cannot see all the parking lots! Watching Spa 24 at midnight is something else.
Creventic has 24h at Ricard too this summer |

Some TV info for the ELMS.
http://www.europeanlemansseries.com/....php?news=3359 Live on Motors still and BT Sport (UK) and TV2 (Denmark). From a UK perspective I'm quite happy with that. Gives a HD option to Motors, who often don't show the races live anyway if there's a clash. |

The best thing about the ELMS broadcasting is seeing Gemma Scott on the highlights that she's been doing for couple of years now. She has just lovely voice and presenting style.
The ACO streaming voices from Marriott and co are boring beyond belief. And then you have RLM as separate source but not as official after Silverstone 2014. Ehh |

Day 2 Morning Session - Classifications
Day 2 Afternoon Session - Classifications Overall All Sessions - Classifications Overall Top Speeds Murphy's top time would've granted them third place in Ricard qualifying last year. SMP wasn't entirely convincing despite the relatively good fastest lap (in cooler night conditions though) but it's early days. The second car didn't even run. LMP2s embarrassed by GT3s in top speeds again. And GTEs too They will surely grant the LMP3s as a whole BoP help prior Silverstone. So the big cars next up on the circuit. |

Remember GTEs are faster in ELMS, and that SMP didn't actually run their new BR-01
