snetmarshal should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Advise on American short ovals please

Am off to Florida in a month, wheter I come back is still to be decided!! the thought of hot weather compared to wet and windy snet isn't much of a contest! anyway, Am staying near Orlando and wondered if anyone has been to or can recommend a good oval meeting to go to at one of the circuits, (not Nascar level) talking the smaller stuff, have checked out a few sites for the local tracks, but word and mouth is always useful.

cheers - me sun burnt!

I heard that there is a track in Ocala, not too far from Orlando. I don't know anything about it though.

These two are just down the highway to the NE near Daytona:

http://www.volusiaspeedwaypark.com (asphalt 3/8, clay 1/2)

This one is SW in Lakeland:

And NW in Ocala:

There's also a drag strip just outside Kissimmee heading west just off the 192...cant rember the name but it has a website. Theres also the Friday and Saturday night cruises at Oldtown in Kissimmee if you ever want to see some "Muscle cars" like I always do! (theres also a NASCAR shop at Oldtown with everything you can think of though start saving as things in there arn't cheap!!)

Cheers for that. Am a fan of the Kissimmee Cruises, love em. Deciding whether back to the cruises or take in a saturday night meeting
