I watched the dawn come up in 2011 and yes it was cold but still could not be bothered changing, just put on a jumper.

when there were no showers in the camp sites and even when they first arrived we always used the swimming baths in le mans to freshen up but have not been there for quite a few years now so no need to take the speedo's

Still can't get over the fact that while I was at scrutineering with Andrew and James in fairly nice weather, at the same time some sort of mini-tornado wrecked mine, my neighbour's and a lot of other tents over at the Houx. Will be packing the sunscreen too tonight.

So you upset Ayse and he sent a biblical storm to pay you back, however floods are less of a problem on TR, if our tickets do turn up

I don't think I did such a thing as upsetting Ayse. I think I behaved myself quite nicely
It was the wind that blew a sort of a pocket in the roof of my gazebo, combined with lots of rain = massive weight in that pocket that led to this: I think the same thing could have happened on every campsite. Nothing to do with drainage of the water in the ground. And regarding our tickets, I have a feeling they will turn up soon. |

I am sure they will, and yes we have lost a few gazebo's due to water gathering on the top and then eventually they collapse, I did have one that had drain holes to stop that, one year it was raining so hard we put a washing up bowl under one of the drains and it filled up in a few minutes. that gazebo was eventually destroyed by the strong winds about 6 years ago.
