Apologies if this is a repost but here is the event poster featuring Aston, Audi, Peugeot and a Ferrari in the distance.

That is great! I love how the Audi looks so much shorter and wider than the Pug!

Aston should be happy with it, according to the poster the new car should have no problems keeping up with the diesels, what exactly is GHC complaining about anyway? lol

Thanks for posting the poster ! OK, it's not the World's finest work of art but it gave me a good feeling of anticipation for the race....

( I note that they've even included a raincloud in the background ! )

Would be fun if the situation on the poster would be real...imagine 60+ cars hovering through Les Combes, down the Kemmel Straight and then all down Eau Rouge towards La Source.

Madness!

(and that says enough about the quality of the poster)

Ten Euros entry fee is good. I wonder if that is all they paid the artist who made that poster?

It does look a bit cheap, doesn't it? Out of all the event posters recently, the only one to really stick to my mind was that brilliant illustration for Petit Le Mans last year. ALMS generally produces more memorable ones, so more of this please!

That poster is typical for the ILMC & LMS... great racing but incredibly poor marketing.

Kind of ironic that the healthy sports car serie dosen't have a clue how to sell their product while the one that's going down the drain knows how to market their product even though it's slowly fading away.

Oh I see what you did there .

I have to say the Sepang poster in the Super GT thread is worse and thats saying a lot.

Great grid!

As an aside - the text on that planetlemans link is identical to DSC - who's nicked who's work?

I'm just hoping the other P2s have good pace compared to the Oreca Nissans (of which there are 3 for Spa, not just the 1 we saw at Sebring).

And I think Aston Martin would do well to have at least one of their Lola-Aston couples running as a bit of insurance; it's a fairly proven car, whereas the new spyder definitely is not.

I don't think they can. If I'm right, all AMR-1's have been sold to either privateer teams or collectors.

A bigger grid then Le Mans, only a two hours drive from home and an entree fee of a very laughable 10 euro's ! If ever there was a friendly way of seeing ones first big endurance race, it's this Spa 1000 !

Didn't the FIA GT series start upwards of 60 cars in 2002?

It used to be women and children free, but I think they have started charging women this year.
