Peter S should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Tracy sticks it on pole - top performance!

What a performance and what better way to answer those in CART by Tracy sticking it on pole showing the rest who is boss! Top performance Paul and lets hope we can have a repeat of Toronto.

i wonder what the rest of the drivers are going to whinge about now?? Lets just hope there is some consistency in these rules so when Tracy gets blocked in qualifying others get punished. (although Tracy will just get on with it and not complain and cry to the stewerds like the classic whingers (Jourdain for example))

oops...you beat me...luckily you can delete a topic up to 10 minutes after you post it... anyway, this what I was going to say...

This is how they'll line up for the Molson Indy Vancouver:

1 3 P. Tracy Las Vegas, NV Player's/Indeck
2 1 B. Junqueira Indianapolis, IN PacifiCare
3 4 R. Moreno Weston, FL Herdez
4 9 M. Jourdain Jr. Indianapolis, IN Gigante
5 2 S. Bourdais Le Mans, France Lilly
6 32 P. Carpentier Las Vegas, NV Player's/Indeck
7 33 A. Tagliani Las Vegas, NV Johnson Controls
8 15 D. Manning London, England Walker Racing
9 20 O. Servia Miami, FL Visteon/Patrick Racing
10 34 M. Haberfeld Key Biscayne, FL Mi-Jack
11 7 T. Monteiro Indianapolis, IN Fittipaldi-Dingman
12 55 M. Dominguez Mexico City Herdez
13 12 J. Vasser Las Vegas, NV American Spirit Team Johansson
14 51 A. Fernandez Phoenix, AZ Tecate/Quaker State/Telmex
15 27 M. Papis Miami Beach, FL (ITL) PK Racing
16 31 R. Hunter-Reay Boca Raton, Florida American Spirit Team Johansson
17 19 G. Salles Miami, FL Alpina/Golden Cross
18 5 R. Lavin San Luis Potosi, Mexico Corona Competition Team
19 11 G. Boss Dale Coyne Racing

Think it'll be another Paul romp away from the field? I doubt it'll be that again....but he's certainly the favorite.

And look at Moreno - 3rd!!! Where'd that come from?

They will probably complain that Paul has his mommie in the pits with him.

They list Salles as residing in Miami? Is he sleeping on Servia's couch or something?

Good for PT and Moreno both!

Maybe Salles has two houses. Some people do.

I was intrigued to hear Moreno tell that he and his engineer had worked out their differences; I had heard in Brands that they were completely at daggers drawn and the team would not fire the engineer but sat them down and made them work it out. And apparently they have! There is some advantage to having grownups in racing cars after all.

Speed TV said this is the best qualifying position a Herdez car has ever achieved. Is that true, does anyone know?

ROBERTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Safe money is on him for a win as PT and Junky eventually collide.

I too hope Moreno can start performing well. Dominguez's performance has really droped off from the start of the season.

It would be great to see someone other than PT, Junky, Bourdais, Jourdain win.

Using all of his experience, Salles has managed to get infront of Lavin AND Boss! What are you thoughts on how bad the Coyne setups are? Is it just the drivers or is the engineering/technical staff so outclassed that they are consistently beaten badly by 3 year old Reynards with less sponsorship money.

Possibly Liz, but I wouldn't think he spends enough time in the states for it to make sense, since he does nearly all his racing in and around Brazil.

Don't forget Salles lost his fastest lap after blocking PT's first run.

Well I didn't want to say that because that would have made everyone's favorite super nice stud Rodolfo Lavin look even slower.

yeah, he was only .400 slower than the rest of the field this time...he's catching up. Lavin and Salles must be worried.

Should be a very storried race anyway.... looking forward to it.

No problem. He is going to crash against Junqueira in the first turn.

Indeed the highest place for a Herdez car... the other high I can remember is 5th by Jourdain at Fontana... 1997!

okay how is it that Tracy is soooo much faster in a race??
Everyone has identical motors yes? and very similar cars if not the same ones, so what gives, pulling away from Junky evry race? lapping the field what does tracy have that bourdais or tags don't?
This is real wierd to me-an extra 1/2 pound of boost? 15 extra HP, what is it?

Its just the fact that Tracy is by far the best driver out there. Since Traction control was banned this has favoured tracy as he can handle a car better than anyone else with less grip.
