sab should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
GT40 @ Hotel de France?

I've picked up a rumour that a very special part of Le mans History could well be making a return to the Hotel de France @ La Chartre. John Wyre based his team at the Hotel from the 1950s - 1970s. It is rumoured that the winning car from 1968 &1969 will be at La Chartre on Friday 13th.

Sorry to burst the bubble here, but if the post that FIRE put up in his link above represents the GT-40 in your rumour, then that is definitely not the Le Mans winning GT-40, chassis number 1075 from '68 & '69.

The car pictured is a road going GT-40 Mk1 (possibly converted from Mk1 race trim - still a gorgeous machine, don't get me wrong), but it is absolutely not the Gulf sponsored GT-40 MK1B that John Wyer ran in his Ford team which won LeMans twice in a row.

That car - 1075 - has never shed its Gulf colours and remains the most copied car in terms of its distinctive paint scheme and setup of all GT-40 owners, either genuine or replica.
