Hey Ted,
That looks exactly like our Scotiabank decal here in Canada. Hmmm, very interesting. Thanks for the link to the pic. Here's some info on Scotia Bank of Mexico. Quote:

Definitely reads "Scotia..." on there!
Very interesting indeed. |

It's clearly related to Scotiabank!! That's really annoying!! There are 3 excellent Canadian drivers in the series and two of them have no sponsorship. There are also other Canadian drivers who deserve some sponsorship in CC, but instead Scotia gives it to Phillipe?!?
I've never heard of any of the other companies on the car. Last edited by Snrub; 5 Nov 2004 at 17:37. |

Snrub relax man, I'm pretty sure its the Mexican company giving the sponsorship sort of how last year that car parts company sponsored Jymmy and Ryan and how Michel Jourdain is sponsored by Office Depot but its the Mexican branch that sponsors him. This is problably only for the Mexico city race.

Tenoch, I don't think Snrub is mad with the Mexican branch of Scotiabank, but he can't understand why the Canadian Scotiabank won't help support Canadian drivers like Carp, PT, Tags and Valiante.

Maybe Phillipe opened an account there.

I'm not upset with Scotia Mexico, but seeing as there is a direct relationship with the Canadian operation, one would think that more talented and/or Canadian drivers would get first dibs on such sponsorship. It's salt in a wound for us. If sponsorship was available in a manner that reflected the marketing potential in Canada there could be even more Canadian drivers with full rides in the series than there is now.

I know my previous post was a little tongue in cheek but I was serious in my belief that the sponsorship is somehow a b2b transaction related sponsoship deal. Anything else would make no business sense that I can figure.

heh. The caption on that page is funny. . . "Fully Funded" . . .those are associate decals at best. They don't pay a percentile of what a title sponsor would pay.
Just because it's on the sidepod, does not mean the sponsor is of significance. |

It is also on the rear wing... but the font is so small, and the colour contrast so hard to pick up, I doubt the teev will pick it up at speed
