But What All must remember is that RLM can probably only count the listeners from their own site, and therefor wont receive Sponsorship count from those listining outside.

I wanted the link so I could increase latency to try and match up the sound with the Eurosport pictures but I forgot that you can pause on TuneIn, so I'll probably try and attempt it that way.

Solution: visit the website once in a while or even click the player that way but keep listening via the direct link. Or keep it in a background window.

That's nonsense. You really think they can't count all the people who connect to the live stream.

Would be the height of crap service if everyone have to use a wonky evil flash player.

Loads of devices can't use or have serious problems with flash based players. Not smart to alienate people by putting through the horrors with flash, when they could be listening to the race.

Would anyone hazard a guess at how much data RLM uses per hour?

At a really rough guess from their N24 coverage it was around 100mb.

Im on a prepaid data plan so might have to top up before the weekend.

When I was listening through TuneIn it was streaming at 58 kbps, so 58 * 60 is 3480, roughly 3.4 megabytes a minute which would then be roughly 203 MB an hour.

Bits vs bytes. Divide the MB/hour figure by 8 and you'll get a realistic estimate. 58 kbps is kilobits/second, it's about 6 KB/second => 360 KB/minute => 21600 KB/hour => 21.6 MB per hour. Trust me, I'm a computer engineer.

Also, an hour of podcast at 128 kbps is only about 55-60 MB.

for a computer engineer your math sucks 58kb is 59392b => 7424B/s => 445440B/min => 26726400B/h or 26100 KB/h or 25.48828125 MB/h

electronics engineer to the rescue (hehe no wonder other ENGs dis computer ENGs all the time)..

Hahaha Thanks for the replies guys, so it's somewhere between 20-30mb an hour then. Looks like my estimates were well off, aren't you glad I'm not an engineer? Haha

Just one more question is RLM accesible by iPhone?
